Chapter Twenty-Four

All of you arrived at the hunters association and the hunters on guard saw Zero and instantly opened the door. You were greeted by Tara as she gave you a quick hug to welcome you, she had noticed the blood stained coat you had on and got worried but after you explained you were fine she nodded.

"We're here to see Yagari." Zero held up the book he had carried over and Tara looked at it and nodded.

"This way." She stated and walked away causing you all to follow. Kaname dragged Sara with him and she stayed silent.

Tara led you up the stairs and opened double doors which opened into a short hallway. At the end of the hallway was another set of double doors, you all walked down and Tara knocked on the door before opening it.

You saw Yagari sitting behind a desk in the room. The room was big with a lot of windows and had a lot of book shelves in. There were seats to sit in but you all stood up. Yagari looked up to you all and stood up instantly once he saw you and Zero. He pulled his gun over his shoulder, his coat and hat were hanging on the coat stand nearby to his desk.

"Did you get it?" He asked as he looked between you and Zero. You nodded and Zero raised his hand which had the book in his hand.

"Good. Let's go see your cousin," Yagari told you and Kaname. He looked over to Zero, "Bring that book. We're going to need it."

"What about Sara?" Kanane questioned and Yagari eyed her and sighed.

"She can come with us, she'll be locked up for questioning as to why she stole the book in the first place. And more importantly, how it got past us." He glared at her as he walked ahead of you all. You caught up and walked next to Yagari, Zero right beside you as Kaname and Sara along with Tara walked behind.

"Is it wise for me to see Quentin? He's the one who put the bracelet on me.. What if he speeds it up?" You questioned and Yagari was silent for a second, Zero wanted to know too.

"In order for that to happen he has to have contact with the bracelet or you. Depending on what the book says depends on whether we need to take that risk. Give it here Zero." Yagari explained as Zero did as he was told.

Yagari opened the book as he walked and started to find the page about the bracelet. By the time he found it you had all walked through a door which kept you, Zero, Sara & Kaname from entering. You looked to Yagari confused and then to Zero who just leaned on the wall.

"Take it down!" Yagari yelled at the hunters in the room, Yagari then looked to you and Zero. "It's an anti-vampire barrier. Zero had a similar look the first time he tried to come down here too." Yagari smiled at you and Zero, causing Zero to roll his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah." Zero sighed, removing himself from the wall and walking into the room causing you to follow him.

"He's down this way." Yagari explained and there was hunters who accompanied Sara to back up Yagari if things got out of control.

You entered another room and Quentin was chained to a wall, he was on his knees being held up by the chains. It made you remember how he held you in the basement. You all stopped and Kaname held your hand in his as he saw how you were psychically trembling at the memory. Zero noticed too and held your other hand causing you to come back to reality.

You smiled at the pair and nodded, letting them know you were alright. Yagari walked up to Quentin and kicked him waking him up. Quentin looked up and around, scanning the room. His eyes landed on you and the bracelet and he chuckled, "Oh you're a fool for bringing her to me." Quentin smirked and looked up to Yagari.
