Chapter two

You woke up from your slumber and looked around. You sighed, since you came home you felt empty. This may have been the house you and Yuuki were born in but it wasn't your home. Yuuki had already taken a liking to the house, but for you it just didn't feel like a house that can be called home. This was the house your parents had died in. You couldn't cry for them, they would never have wanted that. Kaname had managed to convince you and Yuuki that they did what they had wanted to do for you two. That had been their final wish in the very end. For you and Yuuki to have a normal life as two human girls.

You got out of your bed and looked at yourself in the mirror, everytime you looked at yourself your eyes reminded you of Rido. You had started to hate it ever since you had laid eyes on him back at the school. Kaname had disappeared that night, he had come clean about Shizuka's death and the council's. Maybe it was for the best for the council to be gone but you were still angry at Kaname for blaming Zero for the death of Shizuka Hio. Zero had been targeted for it and Kaname had not said a word but 'protect' Zero.

You were getting changed into some clothes when there was a knock at the door. You had decided on a jumper and a skirt followed by some small heels. You and Yuuki have always been so small compared to Kaname and Zero, so Yuuki came up with the idea of wearing heels to try and make them both look taller. You quickly raise your voice a little before saying, "Give me a minute!" To whoever it was whilst you got changed.

There was another knock on the door and you gathered it was probably Yuuki. You mutter a quick 'come in' whilst finishing brushing your hair. The door opens to reveal Kaname, you look at him as he enters the room.

"It's nice to see your awake. Since we came home you've done quite a lot of sleeping." He smiled at you, you just stared at him.

"I've been catching up on sleep, when Yuuki couldn't do patrols I had to do double with Ze-" You stopped yourself from mentioning Zero. Kaname didn't like it when you brought him up, Kaname always told you and Yuuki that he was a thing of the past.

Kaname sighed, "You're still thinking of him? Elissa, you do know where you belong correct?" Kaname asked softly, things Kaname said came off harsh sometimes but he never meant it to come out that way. You knew that but sometimes it was hard to ignore it. Yuuki was finding it difficult to stop addressing Zero in front of Kaname but you found it harder as of how closer you were to Zero.

"Of course I know, I know I'm a pureblood. That I'm your fianceé but I can't seem to adjust to it. Kaname part of me is attached to Zero, I can't just forget about him." You tell him and he comes closer to you, he wraps his arms around you and puts a hand on your cheek.

"You can't forget him, yet he seems to have forgotten you so quickly. He hasn't come searching for you. You'll adjust, it just will take some time. You and Yuuki have become purebloods once again, she seems happy and yet you do not... Why? Is it because we left Zero behind?" He questioned you and you widen your eyes at his words. They stung, they stung so much. Tears sprung to your eyes as you tried to get out of his grasp. You hated when someone saw you crying.

He bent down to your neck and hovered over your shoulder, you looked upwards allowing him access and he took it. You felt his fangs pierce your skin and heard him drinking your blood. This had become a normal thing for you and Kaname. You both allowed each other your blood. Yuuki would take blood from Kaname too but not as much as you would. You could not deny your feelings towards Kaname, but you couldn't forget about Zero either. Whenever you drank blood you would always feel guilty that this is the one thing Zero never wanted for you and Yuuki.

Kaname released you and looked at you, you could see your eyes glowing in the reflection of his. He got on his knees in front of you allowing you to drink some of his blood. You bent towards him and pulled down his collar on his blouse, you then pierced his neck with your fangs and started drinking his blood. You could feel him stroking your head with his hand. You pulled away from his neck and his other hand came to your cheek and he leant forward and planted a kiss on your lips. Your hands came to his cheeks before he pulled away.
