Chapter nine

You had finally finished your duties with Kaname and arrived back home. You sighed as the driver pulled up. You just wanted to go to the academy. You were still annoyed that Kaname had avoided you again. You then noticed Yuuki coming out of the house with Aidou and Takuma. Takuma had his sword and they were all wearing their coats.

Kaname opened his door for them to get in, they all sat opposite you as the car was modified to Kanames liking. He said it was a pain that when he was being escorted by Takuma, Takuma had sat in the front as there was any room in the back and he had to turn in his seat to talk to Kaname.

Kaname put his hand on yours in your lap and he smiled at you faintly, "Would you like to go and see Zero and your father Elissa?" Kaname asked you and you gasped.

"Yes, yes I would." You tell him trying your best to contain your excitement. You had to give it your all to actually not scream in excitement.

"Yay! Its official!" Yuuki exclaimed in excitement. Kaname tapped the roof and the car started moving as the driver knew where to go.

It felt like one of the most longest journeys you had ever sat through. You were beginning to get uncomfortable in your seat when Yuuki got yours and Kaname's attention. Kaname still had your hand in his and you smiled at it.

Yuuki started to get uncomfortable herself with your gazes on her. You nodded to her sending reassurance to her, she acknowledged this and returned a slight nod. She looked at Kaname and he smiled at her.

"Is everything alright Yuuki?" Kaname asked her picking up on her nervous state.

"Yes kaname, I'm fine. Theres just... there is something you should know," Yuuki started and Kaname looked at her worried, whilst tightening his grip on your hand. "You said you would be happy when I find someone who has won my heart, right?" She asked Kaname and he nodded hesitantly he never liked his own words being used against him. She moved her hand to Takuma and he held it gracefully, I could see how nervous he was in Takumas eyes. "Takuma and I are in love Kaname." She tells him, you place your other hand on top of Kaname's hand that was holding yours and he looked down at you. You looked up and smiled a little. Aidou didn't seem phased by Yuukis news so you figured that he already knew.

"Elissa did you know about this?" Kaname asked you, making you smile a little.

"Yes I did, I found out at the ball. I agreed not to tell you as I thought it would have been best coming from them than me." You explained to him and he nodded slowly.

"Very well..." Kaname told you and looked over to Yuuki and Takuma. They almost looked frightened to see what Kaname was going to do or say, "You're putting yourself at a risk Takuma." Kaname told him which shocked you and Yuuki. Takuma didn't look too shocked by it though, he must have expected him to say something like that.

"I am aware of that Kaname."

"You're my best friend and you're in love with my little sister. How ironic." Kaname scoffed as if he felt betrayed. You started to get uncomfortable with how Kaname was acting. Aidou and Yuuki noticed that.

"Yes I am, but I will never hurt Yuuki intentionally." Takuma told Kaname and he squeezed your hand tighter.

"Intentionally?"

"Yes, I love her Kaname and I will try my best to make her happy. But if I accidentally hurt her then I would not have meant it. Kaname you can trust me with her."

"Do you know Yuukis name means precious?" Kaname asked and Takuma shook his head no, "Well my dear little sister is precious to her older siblings. Don't you forget that."
