4. It'll Be An Adventure

"Wow, that's so cool...I thought Fawkes flew away never to be found again," Dahyun recalls.

"I guess they found him, or what they think was him...regardless of if it was him or not...it is still incredibly cool to have a phoenix feather in general," Jeongyeon shrugs. 

"Ah! Well aren't we a ragtag group of gals," Nayeon chuckles as she looks at everyone. 

"I hope you two aren't much trouble as these five," Jihyo sighs as she gestures to everyone except Mina. "They're all going to be the end of me."

"Too late," Momo chuckles as she takes out a snack, "Chaeyoung is officially my protégé! MoChaeng!"

Chaeyoung smiles at that and Dahyun looks at Chaeyoung, offended.

"What? B-but, we're bros????" Dahyun dramatically holds a hand over where her heart is supposed to be and grasps the cloth firmly. 

"I, well, we still are," Chaeyoung explains quickly, "You see, Momo-unnie is my teacher but you- you're my bro. Like, bro for life."

"Bro-!" Dahyun raises her hand up.

"Bro-!" Chaeyoung raises her hand and they clasp each other's hands and do a one armed hug. 

"Wow, how do you two know each other already?" Nayeon asks with a snicker.

"Dahyun and her brother stayed with us for two weeks while their parents went on their twentieth anniversary vacation," Jeongyeon explains and everyone nods. 

"Ah, well, that's cool," Nayeon says with a smile but her eyes flicker to Tzuyu. Tzuyu raises an eyebrow and Nayeon sighs. The younger girl knows why she looked at her but she has chosen to pretend to not know why and listen to everyone as they talk. 

As time passes and they've all gotten something from the snack trolley, Tzuyu finds herself noticing Chaeyoung's eyes on her every once in awhile. Tzuyu notices hints of curiosity and fear in her eyes. She can understand why the girl would feel either one of those. Jeongyeon probably told her about the whole Pureblood Supremacy thing with her and Nayeon's parents. Jeongyeon can reassure Chaeyoung about Nayeon being cool but not Tzuyu, none of them know Tzuyu except Nayeon. All they can do is take Nayeon's word for everything. 

"Hey, Tzuyu, are you okay?" Tzuyu blinks and looks up to Chaeyoung.

"Huh, yes?" She asks and Chaeyoung nods.

"Sorry, I was just asking because you've been frowning at my shoes for an hour..." Chaeyoung chuckles and Tzuyu finds herself getting openly flustered.

"Ah! I'm sorry, I was just worried about school things..." Tzuyu tries to lie but her voice falters and she sighs, Nayeon gives her a funny look and she gives her Unnie a blank look. 

"Well, Tzuyu-sshii," Jihyo pipes up, "If you're worried about anything, that's perfectly natural. Any of us can help you if you need help."

"Help, huh..." Tzuyu thinks out loud before realizing and the flush that was fading, deepens. 

"Ha, yeah, Tzuyu isn't used to getting help on things..." Nayeon explains, "We were both kind of homeschooled on certain things and couldn't really help each other..."

"Ha, but I bet she knows what she's doing," Jeongyeon snickers and Nayeon scowls, gets up, and punches her in the shoulder.

"Shut up, I wasn't that bad freshman year," Nayeon stuck out her tongue, "I was better than you."

"What? No, you blew up-" Jeongyeon started.

"But you-!" Nayeon interrupted and thus began a long cycle of arguing which awoke Momo and made Dahyun cover her ears. Somehow Mina and Sana were sleeping through the whole thing. Jihyo was reading something and looked up every once in awhile to listen to some part of the argument. 

Tzuyu has never seen Nayeon so heated but she isn't surprised. She read somewhere that the closer people are, the more they argue even over the stupidest things. Tzuyu finds her eyes wandering before locking onto Chaeyoung's. The two stare at each other for awhile before Chaeyoung cracks a smile and says. 

"Well, at least we know that our school years won't be boring," Chaeyoung jokes and Tzuyu smiles at that.

"Yeah...it'll be...an adventure of some sort," Tzuyu replies and Chaeyoung's smile widens as she nods.

"Let's make it an adventure then," Chaeyoung extends her hand out and Tzuyu finds herself eagerly reaching out to shake.

It'll be an adventure indeed.

I really wanted to include their wand types because I read through the pottermore articles on wands and got super excited. I bet one of y'all could find better wand types for them but I think I found the right types for their personalities.
