Tzuyu stood there for awhile.
She didn't know what exactly to say or how to start off talking about literally anything with someone who is bed-ridden. So after a few minutes, she inhaled, opened the doors, and exhaled as she entered the room. A kid who broke his hand after getting launched backwards during Defense Against The Dark Arts was laying three beds away from Chaeyoung who was on the very end of the row on the left. Tzuyu quietly approached the girl who was staring either mindlessly or thoughtfully out of the window.
"Hey," Tzuyu spoke first and the shorter girl jumped.
"Oh my god, Tzu," The younger girl chuckled. "You scared me...but uh, hey."
"How are you feeling?" Tzuyu asks as she pulls the chair next to the bed to her and sits down.
"I'm alright I guess," Chaeyoung smiles at her, "I can't taste or smell anything. Breathing kind of hurts, but other than that, I'm A-OK."
"Ah, I see..." Tzuyu says and she feels the anger for Alexander Nott simmering after hearing the side affects of the explosion that Chaeyoung possessed.
"Tzu...I uh, I heard that you challenged Alexander to duel...is that true?" Chaeyoung asks and Tzuyu nods.
"Yes, it is," Tzuyu says firmly, "I'm tired of him always bothering us just because Nayeon and I would prefer to spend our time with you and the others. You could've died if he put more of that stuff in the potion, lucky for us, he only put a pinch."
"I...I appreciate your courage and wanting to stand up for me and the others but you don't have to do this," Chaeyoung says, "I'm not sure he's worth wasting your time and energy over."
"I want to do this though, Chaengie," Tzuyu says confidently, "I want to do this for you. He's been bad mouthing you and bullying you as soon as he saw you, he's nothing but a weasel that needs to be put in his place."
"Tzu...don't say it like that," Chaeyoung says, "I know literally anyone else is better than him but...you uh...you kind of sounded like him for a second."
"W-what?" Tzuyu stands up in shock and she stares at her faint reflection in the window.
"Tzuyu, you aren't like him or the others," Chaeyoung realizes her mistake with her words and sits up but as she does she winces. Her lungs sting.
"Woah! Hey!" Tzuyu says as she helps Chaeyoung settle back down onto the bed. "I...I know but I, I still have a fear that I am like him. Before I was worried, thinking I should be like him because that's what my family wants but in the time I spent with you and everyone else here at Hogwarts...I never want to be like that. I never was to begin with but now I'm sure I never want to be. I'm sorry if my words scared you a little because of the similarity but I want you to know something Chaeyoung..."
Tzuyu gently holds her shorter friend's hand firmly and the bed ridden girl stares at her with curiosity and surprise.
"I will never be like him or my family," She says, "I have better grammar, looks, and friends."
"Pfft," Chaeyoung snorts and even though it hurts to laugh, she can't help but laugh at the somewhat serious joke the taller girl made.
"Don't laugh to hard, Chaengie," Tzuyu smiles, "Don't want Madam Pomfrey yelling at me for 'harming' you or anything."
"Don't worry, you aren't harming me," Chaeyoung smiles, "I highly doubt you ever could anyways."
Tzuyu smiles at that.
Chaeyoung believes in her as a person and that's enough to dispel the sudden doubt that came into her mind about who she is. The doubt about if she's a good person or worthy to be friends with any of them. After all, she's a Chou by blood. But...blood doesn't matter all that much nowadays, does it?
