11. Too Fast To Say Bye

The colors of the banners of them turned green and gold as food appeared on the tables. Slytherins all over roared with excitement and victory. The others cheered for different reasons: all of their favorite foods appearing before them. Momo, without hesitation grabbed one of everything around her and ate like there was no tomorrow.

"Woah there, chill bro," Jeongyeon laughs.

"I can't, when I get home I won't be able to eat this much," Momo explains, "My sister and parents know I eat a lot so they limit the amount I eat."

"Relax, you have tomorrow morning as well," Nayeon pats her shoulder but understands the sentiment so she too takes one of everything.

"Wow, alright then, you too, huh?" Jihyo snorts. 

"Well, Momo made a fair point," Nayeon shrugs as she eats a spicy chicken wing, "Tonight it's all kinds of foods and dessert but tomorrow morning it's just breakfast related things. I won't get to eat this much good stuff for two months! I have to take it all in now!"

"Oh shoot...you're right..." Tzuyu mutters and she too takes one of everything, "Never thought I would ever say that..."

"Yah! I have a brain Chou Tzuyu," Nayeon punches her shoulder and Tzuyu scowls at the hit but continues to eat. The evening draws to a close and before Tzuyu can walk back to her room, Chaeyoung pulls her  aside.

"Meet me at Dwayne, 9+4-1+0," Chaeyoung whispers. Just in case someone is listening, the nine decided to nick name the path with their enchanted wall of rock and rubble that goes to the Shrieking Shack 'Dwayne.' They also have a code for 12 AM for no apparent reason other than to make Momo confused for fun. 

"Alright," Tzuyu nods and they both go their separate ways.

When Tzuyu arrives at the dorm, she notices a lot of kids sitting around with their friends, saying how much they'll miss each other. She spots Mina talking to Wendy and she walks over to the two. 

"Tzuyu-ssi, you made it through your first year of Hogwarts!" Wendy smiles and gives her a hug. "We didn't win the Quidditch Cup but we did amazing this year in comparison to last year. Last year we were dead last!"

"Ha, yeah, I had a lot of fun with everyone," Tzuyu smiles at her and then turns to Mina, "I really owe you, Mina-Unnie, I wouldn't have felt so open to being a Ravenclaw if it wasn't for you."

"Ofc, Tzuyu-ya," Mina smiles brightly at the younger girl, "I'm glad you opened up and eased into things this school year. Nayeon told us it would take you a long time but it seems that you got into everything just fine."

"Yeah, everything was foreign at first but everyone has helped me get used to what is quite obviously the norm," Tzuyu smiles but it wavers as she remembers that she's going home. "It kind of makes you not want to go home..."

"I don't know if this is my place to say," Wendy pipes in but the two politely look to her, "But you can have multiple homes, Tzuyu-ssi. Home can even be a person or a group of people."

"I...I guess," Tzuyu frowns slightly but smiles. Maybe Hogwarts is her home. Or maybe it's her friends that are her home. 

"We should go to bed now before Reyna and the prefects shoo everyone to bed," Wendy says to the two. "Night time killjoys to the very end."

Tzuyu didn't go to sleep though.

When everyone was in bed, she stared out the window entranced by the twinkling stars and the serene view of the lake. She tore her eyes away from the sky every other moment to check the time and when it was 11:26PM, she quietly jumped out of bed and left her rom as the others slept. As she snuck out passed the eagle knocker, she could hear shuffling and quiet whispers of other students who seem to have snuck out as well.
