"Tsurei!" Nagakami ran inside of the bathroom with worry. "Tsurei?!"

Looking down, she saw Tsubu on the floor with her knees up to her chest, her head down and leaning against the wall.

Tsubu was getting annoyed at the sound of her own heartbeat, sobbing and trying to catch her breath. She was sweating and her chest hurt and when she looked up, her vision still seemed blurry.

'What should I do...?' Nagakami thought to herself, looking horrified. 'What am I supposed to do?? What's happening, Tsurei?!'

Seeing her friend, Tsubu jolted and she wanted to speak badly but wasn't able to.

'Why have I never seen Tsurei like this...? Was...was she hiding it from me?'

"I...I..." Tsubu finally choked out, getting her friend's attention. "I...I can't breathe...I...j-just want to...disappear...!"

"What do you want? What do you need?!" Nagakami kneeled down in front of her frantically. "I'm right here, Tsurei! I'll never leave your side, no matter what! I swear!"

"I-I...I never want you...to...to leave my side!" She shook her head, trying to wipe away tears that kept flowing. "You n-n-never...look at me s-so..."

'What does she mean...?' She didn't care at the moment, trying to give a warm smile. "I promise, I'll never leave your side, Tsurei! Never, ever!"

Her friend still sobbed, coughing out and feeling her head start to hurt. "D-Don't...don't l-leave me, N-Naga...please...don't g-go..."

Nagakami softly smiled, sitting down next to her friend while having to painfully listen to her sobs. She took a glance at her friend, hating how she couldn't do anything to help.

She wondered what Tsubu meant by what she said before but now wasn't a good time to ask, not wanting Tsubu to get more scared.

"...Do you want any water? Do you want something to eat?" Nagakami asked her, reaching out a hand. "I can..."

Tsubu looked at her with hurtful and tearful eyes, taking her by surprise. "N-Naga..."

"..."

"I-I'm...sorry but...p-please don't...don't touch me..." She choked out, obviously trying to catch her breath.

"You don't have to apologize for that! You shouldn't apologize for something like that. I won't touch you."

"Ngh...th-thank...you..."

"Just tell me if you need anything. I'll always be here for you."

"..."

'I hate seeing you cry, Tsurei. You don't have to cry your pretty eyes out. It hurts me. It hurts me a lot...' She furrowed her eyebrows, then looked off to the side. 'It hurts me...

It hurts me a lot to just be sitting here with you...to not be able to say anything to calm you down...

Even though you...just you...just your presence alone...

It did so much for me while I can't do anything for you.'

"I want to have the best first day of school ever!" Nagakami shouted out, stretching out her arms and legs. "It'll be in history!"

"You're just now going into fourth grade." Sitting in the front seat, a woman looked up from her phone with a smile.

"Yeah but it's going to be the best time ever, Mom!"

"Yeah, Tomi." A man driving the car chuckled. "It's going to be the best time ever."
