Karma x Reader || Appearances

A/N: Hey guys!! So this is a special chapter because today marks the 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of this fic!! I made it quite long as a special treat because you guys deserve it lol. But now seriously guys, thank you so much for sticking with me, my writer's blocks and unofficial hiatus <3

Anyways, in this AU, Reader's family situation is a bit different. Her relationship with her parents is pretty much the same though it's not that toxic.

When it comes to her brother, Reader and Akiro are on better terms than in canon though they like to mess with one another. They sometimes even defend each other whenever one of the parents takes it too far (the parent's competition is toned down so the Reader and Akiro don't have much hatred towards one another, just jealousy).

Also, Kaori's the same age as the Reader in this AU

IMPORTANT: I changed some things from the original story as I wanted it to feel more personal instead of a carbon copy with just some name changing. I also put some of the songs to listen in certain scenes because it really does give the experience of the movie. The Your Name soundtrack is a real masterpiece!!!

And I don't know if it's just me but watching this movie always makes me cry. It's a masterpiece and I was a bit scared of not being able to make it justice. In the end, I'm happy with how it turned out.

You opened one eye, and then the other, slowly taking in the bright rays of sunlight that illuminated your bedroom. You stirred in your sleep for one or two minutes as you prepared yourself for the day that was about to come. You really weren't looking forward to it. Just why was your mother so keen on you dating Reo? Who even was that guy?

Your mind was so fixated on the date that awaited you in the evening, that you failed to notice the scent of saltwater that filtered through the windows nor the traditional Japanese wallpaper that decorated the room. Instead, you went directly to the bathroom, only to open the door and realize it was a closet you had opened.

You were completely still as you took in what was in front of you. These clothes... they weren't yours... Heck they were boy clothes! This new information rendered you speechless as you continued staring at the clothes in front of you.

'Did I sleep in Akiro's room without noticing?' You couldn't help but ask yourself though you immediately dismissed that thought.

You slowly turned around and took in your surroundings. Why were there so many comic books on the shelves? What was that game console doing by your bedside table? Why didn't you recognize your room!?

"Where am I?" You freaked out, heart pumping wildly as you fearfully retreated.

You suddenly spotted him. It was a boy who looked just as scared as you did. You gulped, was this his room?

"Who are-..."

Your sentence was left midair. No words needed to be exchanged to understand what had happened.

You had been looking into a mirror.

Karma woke up rather early that morning though it wasn't much of a choice for him. It was pretty much impossible to ignore the grating sound coming from the alarm clock on his bedside table.

"Didn't I unplug it last week?" He cursed as he proceeded to roll on his back and smash the snooze button.

"(Y/N) wake up!" He heard a voice coming from downstairs. "Today you have a big day ahead of you and I will not have you mess this up!"
