A/N: Sorry again for taking so long to update, I haven't really had much time, nor have I been in the right mindset. But the good news is, I'm much better right now, and I'm also finally on summer vacation, so I'll be updating soon!

(Your POV)

"Are you sure we can carry more bags?" You arched an eyebrow as Nakamura handed you yet another one.

"Sure, I don't see why not." Your blonde friend simply shrugged and motioned you to follow her to another shop. "If we could beat those government agents' asses, we can carry twelve bags each."

"Nakamura..." You sweatdropped comically.

"Now come on! They're gonna start closing soon!" She urged. You playfully rolled your eyes and followed her to the next shop.

Right now, you were at the mall, shopping for some new clothes. You were in desperate need of a new wardrobe since you weren't able to take anything with you when you finally escaped your parents' house.

Of course you had already gone shopping with your brother a few days ago, but you didn't buy much since you didn't want to spend his money. Karma had also offered to pay for you on more than one occasion, though you quickly rejected his offer. But naturally that didn't stop him from buying you the things he saw you ogling whenever you went out. Even Nakamura got involved in this whole clothing charity thing and was quick to lend you some clothes of hers. Well, more like forced you to take them.

So, for the past week and a half, you had been wearing whatever you had available. Nakamura's clothes for casual outings, your brother's pajamas to sleep, the clothes Karma gifted you for dates.

Thankfully, just a few days ago you had finally finished budgeting your reward money, and could buy yourself some very much needed clothes without having to use other people's money.

"So~" Nakamura smirked, dragging you out of your daydream. "Excited about tonight?"

You simply shuffled through some clothing racks, and replied rather nonchalantly, "Yeah."

"Ehh!?" She was quite taken aback. "That's not the response I was expecting."

"Huh? Why not?" You lifted your gaze to look at her and sent her a confused look.

"C'mon (Y/N)," she smiled, "you can't be that dense. Don't tell me you're not worried that your boyfriend and past lover are meeting for the first time."

"Past lover?" You couldn't help but snort at the title. "Kaori's not a past lover."

"Unrequited love, whatever you'd like to call it," she easily dismissed. "But come on (Y/N)! You can't deny it'll be nerve-wracking having them meet!" She grinned like the Cheshire cat.

"Well I'm hopeful that there won't be any tension," you finally said. "Kaori's moving on, and Karma hasn't shown any more animosity towards him. In fact, he actually seemed pretty okay when I was planning on getting Kaori's to help me get away from my parents."

"Mhm, if you say so~" She chuckled mischievously as you remained silent, that seed of doubt now growing inside you.

Perhaps Nakamura was right and you were being a bit too hasty with the whole meeting. You paled. Oh no. What if you had messed up? What if you were being too pushy and this dinner would only make things worse between them!?

"Hey, I was messing with you, (Y/N)." You suddenly felt a tap on our shoulder. "Don't think too much about it, okay?" Her brow furrowed in concern and guilt. "Didn't you say Himura had moved on?"

"Well, yeah, but what about Karma?" You now wondered. "Sure he didn't complain when I proposed the dinner, but that doesn't mean he-"

"Hey, hey. Stop overthinking it." She grabbed you by your shoulders so you would look straight at her. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up." She grimaced.
