(Your POV)
"The moon sure is beautiful," he mumbled in a serious tone, deep in thought. You supposed he was talking to himself so you decided not to disturb. However, as you were about to leave, he suddenly made eye contact with you, turning his attention towards you, "it's a shame Koro-sensei destroyed most of it," he grinned, his playful tone coming back.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to disturb," you apologize as you were about to leave.
"You can stay if you want," he said, surprising you and stopping you from continuing any further. "This is a public space after all," he took a sip from a strawberry milk carton.
"Oh, thanks," you said, blinking slowly. "Isn't it dangerous?"
"Huh?" He frowned his brow.
"Sitting down on the railing," you pointed at the railing that consisted of a chunky, wooden plank.
"Wanna try?" He motioned at the seat beside him, "it's not too far from the ground, if you're worried about the height~" he grinned cheekily.
"No thank you, I'll stay on the ground," you said, walking over to the railing and placing your hands on it, looking up at the moon.
"Of course miss goody two shoes wouldn't wanna sit in such a dangerous place," he teased.
You remained silent for a few minutes, both of you looking at the moon.
"Karma," you broke the silence, "thank you."
"Huh?"
"Thank you for saving me from those 18 year olds," you said, lost in thought as you remembered what had happened. "I know I've already thanked you and the others, but I'm really grateful for what you guys did. I owe you one."
"It's no biggie," he shrugged it off. "But you're welcome."
You bit your bottom lip as you glanced back up at the moon with a saddened expression. You had so many negative emotions swirling inside you that you didn't know how to feel. The feeling of entrapment was the most prominent one, triggered by the lack of ice skating and the feeling of not wanting the trip to end. It was nice being away from home. Being away from home, even if you were still in the country, made you experience feelings similar to when you ice skated. You felt free. You wondered if that was the reason why you had loosened up much quicker and easier during the trip.
You didn't want to go back to reality. It felt nice being surrounded by friends the whole day. It felt nice having Koro-sensei watching over you. He was always looking out for his students and was always cheering on you like a proud parent. Before you knew it, a tear fell down your cheek and landed on the wooden plank, darkening the colour of the wood. Before you knew it, more tears began to fall. You quickly dried them off with your sleeves. Your mother didn't allow you to cry, always saying you had no reason to since she gave you everything.
"Hey, you alright?" You heard Karma say.
You turned your head towards him and saw him looking at the wet stains on the wood.
"I'm fine..." you croaked.
Silence engulfed the atmosphere.
"You know?" Karma broke the silence this time, "it's one of the first times I've seen you loosen up so much," he began as you thought back to today's events. It was true, you had forgotten about keeping up appearances. "You're always so stiff and correct," he paused. "But, when you let your playful and teasing personality shine through that wall you put up... it's quite nice, you know? I know I've already told you multiple times, but you should loosen up more often," he said, his serious voice surprising you. "It suits you," he flashed you a crooked smile.
