(Your POV)

Karma: You're really bad :D

You: I just got the game yesterday =_=

Karma: I know, but still... ;)

You sighed upon reading the message. He sure didn't give you a break.

Turning your phone off, you grabbed the console and kept playing. It was the one the two of you had won at the festival. In the end, he had given it to you since you had payed too. You had tried to refuse but he kept insisting you should be the one to keep it since he already had one. That way you could play online and he could show you who was boss, as he had said. You had chuckled at his statement but nevertheless you had taken the gift in hopes of proving him wrong... though for the moment you were far from beating him.

You still couldn't believe yesterday's events. The festival was beautiful and you had had such a great time. You still didn't understand why your brother had suddenly decided to be so nice but you weren't going to question it in case he got annoyed by it. You remembered when he had picked you up and how awkward the ride home had been. Luckily, your parents hadn't arrived so he had ordered you to keep it a secret to which you had immediately complied.

You then exhaled loudly as another thought invaded your mind. You had been so close to confessing your feelings to Karma but in the end, you had chickened out in the last second.

The thoughts of losing him or ruining your friendship with him stopping you from doing so. Plus, what if he didn't even return your feelings? Sure you were close but it could be because he considered you a friend, that's it. To top it all up, you were also scared of rejection. If you were to confess to him and he didn't return your feelings, everything would be so awkward between you.

You had heard how those type of things had ruined friendships and you weren't too thrilled in risking it. So, you would try to pay more attention to see if he felt the same thing. But for the moment, you weren't sure since he hadn't really shown any signs, just his usual teasing.

You continued playing as those thoughts plagued your mind but finally gave up after losing for the 100th time.

Karma: Giving up so easily? ^.^

You: I just feel like no matter how much I play, I don't improve T_T

Karma: You just have to learn from the expert ;)

You chuckled at his message, you could even imagine him cockily brushing off his shoulders.

Karma: Hey

Karma: Are you busy right now?

As you were about to reply to tell him that you weren't currently doing anything, you suddenly remembered you had piano practice today. You sighed in defeat. Even if it was summer, your parents still forced you to keep up with your activities and didn't give you any breaks.

You: I have piano practice in a few minutes... :(

Karma: ...

Karma: How long?

You: An hour

Karma: Okay, meet me at the intersection in an hour and a half

You: Okay

And, as soon as you sent the text, the doorbell rang.

'Well, that was quick,' you thought as you left your phone on your desk and ran down the stairs to greet your teacher.
