Surrender -Under Re-抖阴社区

Tara and Tyler had gone into town today to pick up more groceries, as well as get Lilith and Leah from the airport.

Daniel, Maya and I were on Anna duty, which consisted of ridiculous games that I don't completely understand the rules of, and Mac and cheese everywhere. I'm pretty sure Anna was making up the rules as she went, and I'm also sure Mac and cheese was a terrible idea.

"Anna, are you even trying to get any of that in your mouth?" Maya grumbles at our niece, who sat perched on the chair across with cheese all over her face, and macaroni noodles sticking to her T-shirt and the table.

Anna giggles and stuff another spoonful of it into her mouth and chomping on it with her mouth open.

"Anna!" I scold, but she only giggles. Does anything phase this kid?

"God. What time is Lilith getting here?" Maya groans.

Daniel and I snicker at her, which of course only fuels the demon to chew her food with her mouth open again.

Seconds after, the door flies open. Tyler and Tara come in carrying multiple shopping bags, and right behind her enters Lilith and Leah.

"Mama!" Anna yells, but starts choking from the food in her mouth.

Daniel, who was across from her,  speeds around the table and starts patting her back to help her cough out the Mac.

He was so quick no one had time to react, but after a few solid pats Anna's macaroni comes shooting out of her mouth and onto Maya's shirt.

Maya flinches, and looks down, then up at a giggling Anna. Everyone who just walked in is still and confused at the laughing four year old who was choking just seconds ago.

"I'm never eating Mac and cheese again." Maya mutters.

Lilith drops her things on the ground and runs to Anna.

"Baby are you okay? What have I told you about talking with food in your mouth." She scolds.

Anna's demeanor changes from the devil spawn she has been for the last week. Her eyes widen and she pouts.

"I'm sowey Mama." She says.

Lilith tuts and picks up Anna and holds her close. "I've missed you." She says hugging her tighter.

"Do you guys need any help?" Daniel offers.

"Yeah there's more stuff in the back." Tyler says.

"Oh god where are my manners!" Lilith says, still with Anna in her arms. "Leah, this is Maya and Angelique, I think you've met them a few times. These are my sister in laws." She smiles.

Leah gives a tight smile and a nod. "And this is Daniel, Angelique's mate." She says.

"Hello." She says again with a tight smile. Her eyes lingering on Daniel a bit longer.

The three of us stand and smile at Leah, who looks physically uncomfortable.

"I'm really sorry... about your sister." Daniel says taking a step closer.

"You're the one those men are after, right?" Leah asks.

I feel Daniel's anxiety hit him like a truck, so I stand beside him and take his hand in mine and squeeze gently.

"Yeah." He breathes out.

Leah nods in understanding, but doesn't comment.

"Where should I put my things?" She asks Lilith.

"Oh! Right! I think there should be another room left here. Ty?" She asks looking at Tyler who has a whole Twinkie in his mouth.

He mumbles out words that no one understands, but points to the very last door down the hall where the rooms were.
