Lilith's POV

Everything in my vision was blurry. I could feel the attack coming the moment I answered Kai's call, and I could feel all his anger and fear even being states away. I didn't need him to tell me what was happening, I knew. I recognized this type of fear instantly. Someone was either missing, or worse. I can't even think it.

"What is it." I say. My own voice sounding muffled in my ears.

Kai's remains silent on the other line.

"Kai." I choke out.

"They took Angie." He says. "And Anna shifted and they can't find her."

"What do you mean they can't fucking find Anna! Who took Angie!" I scream.

My heart pounding in my ears almost blocks what Kai is saying to me.

"She took off. Jason said she attacked the man who was trying to take them, but it gave Jason time to shift and finish him off. But Anna took off."

"She's- she's. FUCK!" my head pounds with no sign of when it'll stop.

"Lilith listen to me." Kai cries.

This is all too much. My niece was taken, my four year old daughter is missing. My uncle was dead. My baby cousin wouldn't speak.

"Shit" Kai screams on the other line, snapping me from my crowding thoughts. "They've got Daniel too."

Maya's POV

"Anna!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

Jason follows only a few feet behind me calling out to Anna too.

"I can't pick up her scent." I cry to Jason. "I can't pick up hers, I can't pick up Angie's." My head rushes, and I feel my chest tightening.

"Babe!" Jason yells.

Suddenly I'm on my knees gasping for breath, and Jason is at my side rubbing my back.

"We're gonna find them. I can still smell Anna. Your body still has the wolfsbane in it. They're not gone, your senses are just down. It's okay." He soothes.

Just as the ringing in my ears subsides. I hear a sniffle.

"Jason"

"I heard it too." He says. "Stay here." He says standing and walking a bit a ways further from me. I heard the sniffle again, just closer.

"Anna?" I say at a normal tone.

Another sniffle. I look all around me and my eyes catch behind a bush. Two small bare feet have me up and running towards them.

Her small bare body was torn up with scratches, bruises, and dirt. I sigh in relief, but am shocked that she scoots away from me when I reach for her.

"I didn't mean to." She cries.

"Anna baby"

"I hurt the man" she cries again.

"Anna come here. It's okay. Everything's gonna be okay."

"Is mami mad at me?" She wails at that. Her cries break my heart into pieces. She's only four. The youngest I've ever seen a wolf shift for the first time. Not only did she shift, but she almost kill a man. What the fuck does that do to a four year olds mind?

I scoop her up in my arms and hug her close to me as her body shakes as she sobs. Jason reaches us and immediately pulls out his phone.

I could hear him on the phone with what must have been Kai, but I couldn't focus on anything but the small shaking child in my arms.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" she cries against me.

I hug her tighter and tighter as we near the cabin.

Sitting outside waiting for us was Tyler and Tara. The two of them run towards us at full speed. Tyler takes both Anna and I into his arms and squeezes so tight it almost hurts.

"I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have left. Fuck we shouldn't have left." He cries as he holds us closer.

"They got Daniel." Jason finally says.

"What?" Tara asks.

"He has them both." Tyler says angrily as he pulls away from us.

"Tara, can you take Anna inside?"

"No!" Anna screams and tightens her hold on me.

"No more!" She cries.

I nuzzle my face into her neck and look at Tyler over her shoulder. He nods and turns to Tara.

"Take care of Anna." He says to me. "Jason start packing yours and Maya's things. We'll pack up ours and Anna's.

"We can't just leave. Angie's scent is here we need to follow it."

"It's gone, Maya. After a mile off our property it disappears. I think they masked her scent too."

"Then how will we find her?" Jason asks.

Tyler sighs and shakes his head. "We'll tear down every fucking building on this planet till we do. That's how."
