Tourney. One of the many after school activities you can participate in at Auradon Prep. During my life I had been an active member of a broad variety of them, Book Club,  Chess club, the Fencing team and, my personal favorite, the Auradon Prep Tourney Team. So it would be no surprise that now I am incapable to play due to obvious circumstances I still very much like to watch my Team play their first match of the year. The Auradon Fighting Knights vs The Sherwood Forest Falcons!
Excitement filled my non-existing body as I walked around the crowded Tourney field, Ray zooming around my head, flying from one side to the other, up and down, trying to get the best look at everything that was happening.
"Whooie!" My small friend joined my side again after taking in the playing field. "That's one big field to play a game on."
I chuckled, my eyes finding my friend instead of the group of Cheerleaders we were passing by. The group of girls were already hyping up our team together with our school mascot. "It's more than just a game, Ray, it's a competition. A competition that compares the strengths and weaknesses of the teams of different schools and at the same time strengthening the bonds between the many schools within the lands of Auradon."
"I remember my own first match against the Forest Falcons," I continued, softly smiling too myself at the memory. "It was only my second official match against another school. I was so nervous but I took one look at my little sister's face painted in the team's colors with that big, proud grin on her lips and all of that stress just melted away."
     "Did you win?"
"No." I answered laughing, shaking my head. "But that did not matter to little Kathy, she still looked at me as if I had just battled a dragon instead of a group of teenage boys."
"Talking 'bout that li'le butterfly, where she at?"
"Emma?" I looked over to where Aggie stood with her team, expecting my sister to be with her, but she was not. My eyes scanned over the stands where the rest of the students all took place. I saw a lot of familiar faces, including the new brightly haired female students, but no Emma. "I don't know..."
Loud trumpets echoed over the field, silencing most of the people as they announced the start of the game and so the voice of the commentator, Mr. Porter, followed. "Ladies and gentleman, Princess and Princesses, our first Tourney game of the Season between the Auradon Fighting Knights and the Sherwood Forest Falcons is about to begin!" A round of cheers erupted from the crowd, quickly quieted down again by the commentator. "Yes, yes, we are all very excited! So lets get started! Teams, take your positions!"
"This is all so exciting!" Ray zoomed around my head, clapping his hands in anticipation while he settled down beside me again with big eyes on the field. His eyes flickered from left to right, his excitement making place for furrowed eyebrows. "Uummm, Ben? What, exactly, is Tourney?"
Dumbfounded by my friend's question I turned my attention to him. "You... don't know what Tourney is?"
He shook his head, "nope. Never heard of it."
"Okay, well, listen up, my friend. Because it's the time for the student to become, the master."
"Tourney is a combination of lacrosse, hurling, soccer and football. Do you know those games?"
A big smile came over Ray's face as he breathed in to answer, but the hope left my body when he shook his head, "no clue."
"Okay." I sighed, realizing that way of explaining was not going to work, my eyes taking in the field that was now filled with action. "No problem, we'll just start at the very beginning. The goal of Tourney is pretty simple, two teams with both seven players try to get the Tourney ball into the net of the opposing team to win points. The team with the most points when the time runs out, wins. Are you following?"

"Are you following, Kathy?" I asked my sister, who was messing with the roaps on a Tourney stick. I had just come home from Tourney Tryouts and Emma, sweet that she was, had made it her new soul purpose to understand the game.
She nodded her head, "Umm, seven players." She confirmed, looking at me waiting to go on. Realizing it might be a little easier to visualize, I took out a pencil and a notepad and drew a rectangle to represent the field, followed by two lines on either side, "these, are the goals," I stated, pointing them out before continuing to make the striped section in the middle, "and this, is the Kill Zone," I turned the paper back to Emma. "That is where you have to watch out for the Dragon Fire."
A horrified gasp came from my little sister, almost dropping the Tourney stick. "Dragons?" She squeaked, "they have dragons spit fire at you?"
I couldn't help but laugh, ruffling Emma's hair, "no, Kathy, that's just what we call the projectiles, they really are more like a... Frisbee."
"Ow," even though I noticed her body relaxing, she still seemed disappointed. "That's a shame, dragons would have been better."
Surprised at the sincerity of her statement something between a laugh and a scoff escaped my body. "You know how dangerous that would be? We could get burned alive! I could get burned alive."
     "No, you won't."
"Yes, I would! Dragons are very dangerous, I might die."
"No. You won't." Emma sounded way too sure of herself, sparking a hint of annoyance in me.
"Emma, believe me, if I was standing in front of a dragon, in nothing else than my Tourney clothes, I would!"
The annoyance in my voice did not go unnoticed by Emma, who let out a soft growl. "No. You-"
     "Em-"
"No you won't!" Emma was now raising her voice at me, "Mom and dad wouldn't even let you play if there was a dragon! It's too dangerous."
Silence fell. Emma, now turning her face away from me with her arms crossed over her chest, her lip pouting. I still felt irritated, sure, she was right they wouldn't let me, but that didn't mean she gets to be so irritatingly stubborn about it.
A sniffle, followed by a hand to quickly rub something off her cheek. My anger disappeared, making place for guild as I noticed the tears welling up in her eyes. Again making me realize how sensitive Emma could be. She probably hadn't meant any harm, she never did.
Taking a deep breath, I launched myself at her. "Tickle fight!" I exclaimed as I forced her on her back, tickling her sides.
Emma screamed in surprise, trying to push my arms away. "No! Ben!" But I did not stop, laughing to myself and soon joined with Emma's forced laughter, the tears in her eyes making place for the ones that always followed when she got tickled. "Stop it, Ben!" She managed to bring out between the fits of giggles.
"No, I won't." If my words were received was unknown to me, I did however got Emma's hand in my face as she tried to push it away, good think I am a year older and have always been taller, so it barely did anything beside from obscuring my vision.
"Benjamin!" Emma whined, now also kicking at me.
"Emalia!" I mocked back between laughs, only to get hit by her knee in my jaw. I jerked backwards, teeth colliding together. Emma made sure she crawled away, heaving for breath while swiping at her eyes.
"Serves you right!" Her voice, now also with a hint of laughter while I rubbed the sore spot on the left side of my lower jaw. Our eyes met, and we could only laugh.
