"We have a problem," Carlos de Vil announced to his friends after bursting into the room he shared with Jay and closed the door behind him.
Jay barely responded to Carlos and just continued playing his videogame while Evie, who had been in their room as well, flipping through some magazine, spoke up, barely showing any interest either. "Did you finally realize that hairdo does nothing for you, Carlos? Because we already knew that, but I am happy you finally see it as well."
"What?" Carlos subconsciously reached up to his hair, confusion mixing with some insecurity, what qas wrong with his hair? But he quickly shook it off. There were bigger problems to deal with right now. "No."
Evie shrugged, "Pitty."
"No! Guys, listen, we have a real problem, a big problem." As he talked, he walked up to the tv screan Jay was playing on and turned it off.
"What the hell, dude!?" Jay bit at him, throwing one of the controllers he had been holding at Cruella's son, who dodged it with ease having seen it coming.
"She knows. Aggie knows we spelled the princess."
"What? How?" Panic immediately radiated from Evie's voice as she abandoned the magazine, got up from the bed she had been laying on, and made her way to her friend with big steps.
"What did you do?" Jay questioned at the same time, his voice holding more accusations than panic, although it was a mix of both.
"Nothing!" Carlos exclaimed, "she figured it out! She said she knew something was wrong with Emma and that she knew we did it."
"Does she have proof?" Evie asked.
"I- I don't think so," Carlos stuttered out, "but she said she was gonna stop at nothing to find it."
"Shit!" Jay pulled his hand through his hair and threw the other controler to the wall beside the door on the other end of the room, hitting the wall and falling with a loud clatter on the ground in front of it.
"Okay," Evie said, walking back and forth, "we gotta stay calm. She has no proof, which means we can still do something about it."
"But what?" Carlos questioned, the look of loathing that Aggie had given him in the forest still fresh on his mind. He could not imagine they would be able to convince her that they hadn't done anything to her best friend.
"We could, you know," Jay made a choking noise as he brought his hands to his throat, acting out a very colorful depicturing of someone being strangled to death.
"No!" Carlos snapped at his friend.
"Why not?" Jay responded with a mischievous smile on his face, "cuz you don't want me to hurt your little prince friend?"
"No, because that would be even more suspicious." Of course, even though Aggie had threatened him only moments ago, he really did not want to see her hurt, and definitely not dead. But he was not going to admit that.
Before they knew it, the discussion had escelated, all three of the Villain Kids now speaking through each other, desperate to be heard but none of them being able to really understand what the others were saying.
As if on cue, the door to their room opened, and Mal came walking in. There was a soft smile on her lips and a small blush on her cheeks. Only the moment she walked in and the chaos of loud, panicked voices erupted in her face, all traces of bliss disappeared.
"Hey?" Mal tried, but her friends did not hear her, entirely caught up in their heated discussion.
"Hey!" Mal tried louder, but again, her voice did not come out over the others.
With an annoyed huff, she slammed the door closed behind her, "Hey!"
Her friends jumped at the loud sound - literally in Carlos case, who jumped up into Jay's arms, who caught him just in time before they both went down. Evie let out a short scream, putting her hand over her heart with a releaved sign after she saw it was just Mal.
"What in my mother's name is going on?" Mal demanded, arms crossed over her chest. She did some steps forward, only for the heel on her shoe to get stuck on the controller Jay had thrown to the ground before. Mal stumbled, looked down, and with one anoyed scoff, she kicked it away. "Well?"
Jay, Evie, and Carlos started speaking at the exact same time, making it impossible for Mal to understand a single word.
"One at the time!" Mal bit at them. A short silence followed in which the three exchanged a look to decide who would break the news to her. Eventually, they decided on Carlos.
"Aggie knows what we did to Emma."
"What!? How?" For the first time, panick now also sounding through her voice.
Jay, who realized he still held Carlos in his arms, dropped him to the ground and dusted off his hands before answering. "She doesn't know what exactly we did, but she threatened Carlos."
"So she doesn't know what we did?" Mal questioned.
"No, not exactly." Carlos said as he pushed himself off the ground, rubbing a hand over his now painful butt cheek. "But she is very convinced something is wrong with Emma and that we have something to do with it."
"But if she goes to the King and Queen, who knows what will happen." Evie pointed out, worry in her voice.
"Okay, then we need to make sure she can't." Mal stated, turning around and walking out of the room with determined steps. Carlos, Evie, and Jay exchanged another look before rushing after her.
"What do you mean?" Evie asked as they walked. "Do you mean... you know?" The young woman made a suggestive gesture, tracing her thump across her throat.
"That was my idea!" Jay jumped in, but Mal shook her head.
"No, that would be too suspicious."
"That's what I said!" Carlos's voice shot up a few octaves as he said that.
The four VKs followed Mal as she walked into the dorm room she shared with Evie and without hesitation she opened the drawer of her desk, taking out a piece of cloth and unwrapping it to reveal her mother's spellbook. "We need to make sure she will not tell anyone." With that, Mal plopped back down on her bed and frantically started to flip through the book.
"A memory spell? Make her forget what happened?" Jay suggested.
Mal shook her head, "Too risky. We don't want her to forget who we are or who she is for that matter. It would hint everyone off something's not right. And who do you think they'd blame for that?"
"The four kids from the Isle." Jay stated.
"Another love spell, maybe?" Evie asked, sitting down beside her friend on the bed and looking over her shoulder.
"I don't think she will accept anything we give her, and she definitely won't eat it." Carlos pointed out.
"Mind control then?" Jay spoke up again. But yet again, Mal shook her head.
"I don't have a mind control spell..." she was only half listening to what she was saying herself, forehead wrinkled as she read the page she had stopped on. "But I do have a mind altering spell!" She turned the book to the boys so they could see it too. "We will make her think Emma always acts this way. That all of this is perfectly normal. So there will be no suspicion and no need to go to her parents or threaten Carlos again. Besides, the victim only needs to breathe in the fumes, so no need to eat anything. We just need to get close enough to Aggie to make her do so."
"How are we gonna do that?" Jay questioned, "she ain't gonna trust us to get close to her."
"We could ask Emma to do it?" Carlos suggested. The four thought about that for a moment.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Mal spoke up eventually, "she might be spelled to like me, but she is not completely stupid. She might think it's weird we ask her to dose her best friend with some suspicious liquid."
"I've got an idea." Evie stood up from the bed and walked over to her dressing table where she picked up a fancy looking bottle decorated with blue and gold. "We put it in a parfume bottle and spray it on Aggie. Still a little weird for sure, but is it really that strange for one princess to share her new parfume with another?"
A wicked smile grew on Mal's lips, "Evie, you are a genius!"
Evie brushed a hand through her hair, a bright smile reaching her eyes at the compliment, "Oh, well, it was just an idea."
"Yes, okay, so, the ingredients are not too hard to find." Mal continued, "Jay, Carlos, you two go fetch those while Evie and I go to the kitchen to prepare. We have to be quick to get to Aggie before she starts sharing her theory. If Auradon's gossip spreads as fast as it does on the Isle, we do not have much time." Everyone nodded their heads in agreement, grave expressions on their faces. They knew they had to move quickly, and there definitely was no room for another mistake.
"Wait, hold on." Carlos spoke up right before all of them left the room, "Why didn't we just use this spell on Emma to get her to believe that the wand belonged to us and that she should give it back?"
Silence followed in which his three friends exchanged looks, all of them probably thinking the same thing.
"Our current plan is working perfectly fine, don't you think?" Mal eventually said, pursing her lips as she returned her attention to her mother's spell book that she was still holding in her hands. The other immediately started mumbling agreeing things through each other like 'exactly,' and 'wouldn't change a thing'.
Carlos shrugged his shoulders and decided to drop the subject. They were already too far in this plan to change directions now anyway.
"Well?" Mal spoke up again with more confidence and impatience this time, "what are you waiting for? Go, go, go, go!" And with that, the group of four rushed out of the room to gather ingredients and brew another potion, hoping this one would be the last spell they needed to complete setting up their evil sceme and free the people of the Isle from eternal imprisonment.🐉●°●👑●°●🐉
