Start from the beginning

"What? I could try and talk to him maybe, he clearly has no problem communicating via ghost message."

"Hazel let me make one thing clear, you are never to go near that man again" Her grandmother said sternly which took Hazel by surprise. "I will never judge you or tell you that you were in the wrong with that situation, and I do not want to demean you by telling you how young you are. However I will say he was an adult, a clearly grown one at that. Stupid and wrong, but grown. He was your teacher."

"Grams I really don't want to have this conversation again" Hazel started to tense up, she had this lecture of her mom and dad a good few hundred times already "I get it, it was bad but he-"

"No." Melinda cut Hazel off "no. You do not defend him in this house. I understand you have feelings but he is not to be defended in this home. What he did was wrong and in my opinion, your mother should have called the police."

"Then call them" Hazel snapped "wake him up and call them and let's get me arrested for murder."

"Hazel you're not listening to me sweetheart" Melinda took Hazels hand in hers and squeezed gently "I am not blaming you, unlike everyone else who would. He took advantage off you. Yes you have you're own mine and you're fiercely independent and I am so proud of that, but he was an adult. He put you in this position and did this. I know you're feeling confused and overwhelmed and I will be here in anyway to help you process this. But please, please see what he did was wrong."

Hazel bit her lip to stop her from crying. She had spent so much time thinking of herself as the villain, it was hard to process everything in her brain. She had so many emotions and thoughts running around her head and she was just so tired. She quickly wiped her eyes and pulled her hand away from her grandmother, taking another sip of tea ignoring how her grandmother looked slightly hurt.

"So what do you suggest" she asked nodding towards the book in front of her grandmother, changing the subject slightly "how do we fix this?"

"We can do a spell, his body wasn't dead so technically it's not necromancy which is strictly forbidden. What is dead should stay dead. But we need a lot of energy. We have a full moon tomorrow luckily, we can try and harness that."

"And what if it doesn't work?"

"Then we figure something else out" Melinda shrugged, stumping out the end of her cigarette in the glass ashtray on the table, "have you seen him recently?"

Hazel shook her head "no, not since I was driving home from the cullens."

"Good" Melinda nodded "his spirit isn't strong, this will work." She said confidently standing up "get the eggs out the fridge. Neither of us are clearly sleeping so we might as well eat."

Hazel was searching for it. She new she had it somewhere in her room, she packed it in the lower part of her bag so her mother couldn't see that she was bringing her with it to Forks when she moved. She had to bring a piece of him with her, and now she was grateful that she did. She groaned loudly as she searched her wardrobe, why could she not remember where she hid it?!

She gasped loudly when something tapped on her window making her jump, then grinned widely as she saw the familiar curly haired vampire smirking at her, tapping his finger gently. She went over and opened the window to let him in.

"How the hell did you get up here?!" She asked, looking down at the house in shock. A musical chuckle filled her ears sending shivers down her body "right, vampire. Duh."

"It has some perks I admit" Jasper smiled, kissing her lightly, gently pushing a piece of her hair behind her ear that fell from her messy bun "Alice hinted that I should come over and check on you, you okay?"

"Better then ever Tex" Hazel grinned, Jasper frowned feeling all her emotions. Guilt. Anger. Irritation. Sadness. She was feeling a lot for someone saying she was okay "hey! Don't cheat and use your weird ass gift."

"Can't help it, just born to shine" Jasper smirked "talk about it later?" Hazel nodded gratefully and Jasper pulled her into his arms holding her, inhaling her scent as he did already feeling more relaxed. "What are you doing?"

"Ah" Hazel grimaced pulling away "so. There's a lot that happened that I haven't told you yet. Do you want the short version or the long version?"

"Let's go with short, for now" Jasper said warily holding her face in his scans, scanning her to see if she was physically hurt, relieved to see she wasn't.

"So basically we did a seance the other night as a coven and no one knows why but I accidentally brought my dead ex's spirit back into the real world except he can't get back to his body so he's kind of haunting me. And my parents are here because apparently his body, which wasn't dead in the ground but in a hospital is showing signs of waking up so now I'm trying to find an object of his that I have that we can connect to to send him back to his body and try and fix this whole mess" Hazel rushed out taking a deep breath in as she did. Jasper stood and stared at her for a few seconds trying to process everything that he didn't realise was going on.

"Hazel" Melinda knocked on her door gently "your parents are back, and tell Dracula that he should either skiddadle or come and meet them." Hazel looked at her door, her mouth dropping in shock that her grandmother knew Jasper had just arrived and looked back at him. Guess witches had heightened senses too.

"Well, we can talk about this properly later" Jasper finally replied, slipping his hand into Hazels, relishing in the warmth of her skin "but I think it's only fair I meet your parents since you met mine" he finished with a smirk.

Yep, total fucking shit show Hazel groaned internally
