You rolled over and pressed the off button on the clock located on your nightstand, silencing the beeping that was filling the room from the speakers. You rolled on to your back, waiting for your eyes to focus on the dark room. You loved being able to work at a job to not only earn money during the summer but to work in your desired field but these early mornings were hard. The bed was so comfy and warm, making it hard to leave. You stared at the ceiling while reflecting on the conversation with Mikey the previous night. He was definitely being flirty and you enjoyed it. You smiled to yourself while his face popped in your head. Gosh he was handsome. You could lay there for another hour reminiscing but you had to get up out that bed and get ready. You finally threw the blanket off of you and sat up on the edge of the bed. You gave quick stretch before sliding your feet into your slippers. You stood up and shuffled into the bathroom to plug up your curling iron and wash your face.
After curling your hair and applying your makeup for the day you picked an outfit from your closet. You went with a dark grey suit with a black undershirt and some leopard pumps to throw a pop of color and pattern in the outfit. You paired it with some gold bracelets, a watch, and necklace. You grabbed your purse and headed downstairs, making sure to be as quiet as possible since Mimi was still sleeping. She probably wouldn't roll out of bed till at least 10am or 11am. You made your way to the kitchen where you started a cup of coffee, a must each morning. As the coffee began to brew into the cup you called a local taxi company to arrange your ride. Phone call took maybe 5 minutes which was plenty of time for your cup of coffee to finish brewing. You put the lid on your tumbler then headed to the white board on the wall. It was the house message board for you to communicate with each other. Texting was of course the main source but you enjoyed the board. There was a little message tucked in the corner written in black from Emma the last time she came over "I love you!! - Em". You picked up the black marker out of the cup and scribbled a message for Mimi no the white board, "Work till 5! Text me dinner plans. Love you bitch - Y/N". You placed the maker back into the cup before you heard a honk from the taxi outside. You grabbed your coffee and headed out the door and to work.
The day was pretty busy at work. You assisted with opening bank accounts, balancing accounts, transfers, how the system worked and more. You had just got done setting up a new account for a big business and was now working on typing in some reports for the boss. It was already 4pm so you only had an hour to kill before you could go home. Suddenly you heard a small ding from your phone. You grabbed it from its placed tucked away in the drawer of your desk. The notification read 'New Message from Mikey'. You felt your heart pick up pace as the site of his name on your screen. You quickly opened the message. "Almost time to get off?"
