What goes around.....(Mikey x Reader)

The day of the party had already been busy. You spent the morning signing off on a few things with the decorator/planner and  catering for the event for at least 2 hours. Kenji was currently at the venue overseeing everything, being your eyes and ears and giving you time to get ready with no rush. Hair appointment at 10 am and a nail appointment right after. You were the partner with Toman and wanted to make sure you were top notch for the party introducing The White Wolves and Toman.  

You had just arrived back at the house with Kaede from your appointment. As you entered the door your phone was already ringing. "Hello?" You asked as you raised the phone to your ear. "Hello hun." You heard Mitsuya's voice from the other end say. "Mitsuya, how are you?" you asked with a smile, making your way toward the stairs with Duke chasing behind you. "Amazing. I was wondering if you were home? I want to bring your dress over and get some last minute alterations done before the party." He said. "Oh my goodness I'm so excited to see it. Yes I am home, I just got home actually. You are welcomed to head over whenever." You responded as you made your way up the stairs to your room. "I'm excited for you to see it. I am going to go ahead and load it into the car and I'll be over in a few." He said. "Okay great! I will see you in a few Mitsuya." You both exchanged goodbyes before hanging up. 

Duke darted through the bedroom door as you opened it. You followed shutting the door behind you and tossing your purse on a nearby table. You crossed the room till you reached the balcony doors. You had some time before Mitsuya arrived so some alone time on the balcony seemed perfect. You made your way out on to the balcony, the smell of the ocean filling your nose and the cool breeze blowing through your hair. You took a seat in your usual spot, pulling out your phone. You needed to check in with Kenji. You trusted him but you still needed to see it yourself. You clicked on his contact, selecting the video option. 

The phone rang for a few minutes before his face popped up on the screen . "Hey gorgeous!!!" He answered with a big cheesy smile. "Hey Kenji." you laughed at him. "I see you got your hair done this morning, looks nice. I need to get mine re-done." He said as he ran his hand through his blonde hair. "Got my nails done too." You said as you held up your freshly painted nails. "Ooooohhh do the toes match? I know you didn't go do those hands and not the feet." He said. You flipped the camera around to show off your matching toes. "You know I did." You laughed as you returned the phone to your face. Talking to Kenji was like talking to a girl friend sometimes and you loved it. "I knew it. Hair done, nails done and toes done, who are you trying to impress?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. "No one! I just want to look nice. Its a big merge and I want to look put together for this event." You explained. "I understand. You'll look fine regardless so don't stress it." He reassured you. 'Thanks Kenji." You replied. 

"I actually called to look at things. I want to make sure everything is good." You said. "I got ya. Hold on and I'll walk you around." He said as he flipped the camera to reveal the room. Walking you around and pointing out everything that was on the tables, where the food would be as well as the drinks. Everything seemed to look perfect. "I like it, everything looks great so far." You replied before he flipped the phone back to face him. "See I told you I had this taken care of." He said. "I know I know. I just wanted to look myself." You said to him. You trusted Kenji's judgement but there was nothing like having your own personal approval. "Well I'm going to hop of here and get a few minutes to myself. Mitsuya should be here soon with the dress to get some alterations done on it before the party." You said. "Okay cool. I'll be leaving here soon. I told Kaede I would go pick up our suits." Kenji said. "Yeah, we don't have too much longer. I'll see you when you get back Kenji, be careful." You said to him. "Will do. see ya." He said before ending the call. You placed the phone on the table, trading it for the book you had left from the night before. Time for a few minutes to relax.
