There was a world of difference between being a popular person in school, and being a loser.

As for (Y/N)...she could say she falls in the "in-between".

You see, today is a time where one's looks becomes an important asset. If you don't look pleasing enough to others' eyes, you suffer the consequences.

But if you're lucky enough, it's either you get left alone to do whatever, or you enjoy the benefits.

Fortunately for (Y/N), her face is passable enough to keep malicious eyes away from her.

(Well, it wasn't like she wouldn't fight back if they dared glare at her.)

So she is typically left alone at school. She could do whatever she wants, and no one would care more than a brief passing glance at her.

Sometimes she even allows them to copy off her homework when she is feeling nice. This adds points for her in the eyes of her classmates.

"Hey, (Y/N). Isn't that your brother?"

"Ahahaha what a loser."

She cannot, however, say the same thing for her brother.

"Lol is that guy seriously pretending to be pikachu?"

(Y/N) casts a distasteful glance at the middle of the hallway. She can see the teen crawling around with a bouquet of roses in his back.

Just the sight of it makes her feel annoyed.

"You're really not gonna help him out?" one of the girls that pulled her with them asked cheerfully. "Look at him looking so pitiful! Don't you have mercy as his sister?"

(Y/N) only rolls her eyes. "What does being his sister have anything to do with it?"

A sticky boy threw an arm over her shoulder and laughed rather loudly. "Man, you're ruthless!"

"Get your arm off me."

"Okay, okay."

She glances one last time at the back of the teen crawling foolishly on the floor, and her mood only worsened.

"Stupid," she scowls after him.

Daniel Park, as pathetic as usual.

"--And then that loser farted just as he presented the roses!"

"No way! That's disgusting!"

"Haha I was the witness, believe me. I saw it with my own eyes."

"Hyeji looks so horrified too...I pity her."

"Think positive, man. Hyeji might be so disgusted that she'd break up with that guy. This is our chance!"

"You disgusting snake! I like the way you think!"

(Y/N) silently slips out of the classroom, her hand gripping her bag so tightly that she might as well tear it off.

She was annoyed. Of course she was. The day passed by like it always did. She cannot believe that stupid brother of hers is still allowing this bullying to keep going without doing anything about it.

She knows how he blames everything rather than himself. She also knows how he blames even her.

The day he accused her of never caring enough to help him out is still burnt in her mind.

Whatever. She doesn't care.

So what if they were supposedly siblings? It wasn't like Daniel is her blood brother. She's not obligated to do everything for him.
