(Y/N) got to school early that day simply because she woke up early. But it seems not everyone else did so, seeing how she arrived before literally anyone else in the class.
It was odd looking at the room with no one inside. She was, after all, used to seeing it with students loudly chatting and causing fights. Both verbal and physical.
She left the curtains closed and sighs as (Y/N) plopped down to her seat.
The girl's head leaned forward until she had it resting over the desk. Closing her eyes, she decided maybe she might as well squeeze in a few more minutes of sleep since there's nothing else to do yet anyway.
When her eyes opened again, it was to the sound of the door sliding open.
A brunette girl walked in. She only stopped for a split second when she spotted (Y/N) looking at her with her head down, before smiling warmly.
"Good morning," the newcomer said. "You're early today."
"Who're you?" (Y/N) grunted as she closes her eyes again and looked the other direction.
"It's Mira." Light footsteps walked around the room. She presumed Mira probably headed to her desk. "Oh, shall we keep the curtains like this?"
"No, it's fine. I'm done sleeping."
True to her word, the (h/c) haired girl stood up and yanked the curtains open. The room is once more flooded by the natural light from the slowly rising sun.
"You must've not slept enough. It would've been fine if we kept it down."
"You're here already though. Everyone else will come filling this room up soon."
"Well, that's true..."
And then the chair in front of her got pulled back. Mira sat in it and grinned innocently. "You know, you're nicer than what everyone keeps saying."
"Did you think I'm not?" (Y/N) asked.
"It's just that your answers were very..." she scrunched her eyebrows together to think of the appropriate word. "Cold during your first day."
"That's because we were talking about my brother. I can be nice to anyone, as long as they deserve it."
The brunette blinked at her as she thinks over the words spoken.
"Did he do anything bad before?"
The (h/c) haired girl sighed as she rests her chin on top of her palm, elbow propped on the desk. "I don't really care much about what he did to me. But he was...rude to someone I really appreciate."
"I see." Mira nodded in undestanding. She looked over at her conversation partner with a spark in her eyes, and said, "You're really a good person."
The girl laughed at that. "You think so?"
"Of course. After all, no bad person gets offended on behalf of others."
A good person, she says.
Her morning started rather abruptly when she woke up from a terrible dream that day.
In that dream, she can still hear the sounds of bones cracking.
The begging and crying of anither helpless person still echoed in her ears.
(Y/N) smiled, forced.
"If I'm a good person, then you, Mira, must be a saint."
"Not at all."
Their conversation changed to a more light-hearted one. (Y/N) allows the growing thoughts in her head shatter and fade again to the very back.
Later, Zack Lee entered the room and spotted the two of them together. His eyes widened, and he stared at you with obvious envy.
