"My (Y/N) is so smart! Don't worry about anything else, okay? Mom will handle it."

Her expression shifted to a slight pout as she leans forward. "But mom..."

Then she heard the cheerful hum on her mother's tone, and (Y/N) was forced to swallow back her worry.

"Okay," she sighs reluctantly. "Next time I call, it's to tell you my rank!"

The phone call ended after that. (Y/N) looks back down to the pile of school books next to her with narrowed eyes.

"Now, where should we start..."

Studying wasn't something she was new to. Despite not seeming like it sometimes, she actually knows how to study when she's feeling up to it.

On the second day, she received a text message from Daniel.

'If you feel like joining us, we're in the library right now.'

Who is 'we' supposed to be?

She swears, if Daniel is on a sudden date with some girl that fell for his tall body's face and he's asking her to third wheel, he'd be sleeping outside tonight.

She didn't want to be in the same room as that guy! Even if it means being in a study group.

But then she received another text from Mira, asking for backup in the library because she was getting fed up with Yui's pining.

...Sometimes, (Y/N) wishes they're as bad as the students in her former school. At least that way, she'd feel no guilt if she ignored the text.

The library she ended up in was one of the places she once considered applying for a job.

On the way in, she spotted a depressed-looking Vasco, a tired Jace, and a few more members of their department.

The group she was looking for is sitting in a different table. They were so noisy that she heard them before seeing them.

Settling her books on the table as quietly as she could, she glared at the people on her left side.

"Silence in the library."

See? She should've went here to work instead.

Yui at first didn't seem to care about her presence. But then the (h/c) haired girl pushed Zack aside so she's the one sitting to Mira.

"If you can't shut that girl up, you're not sitting next to Mira at all during this entire session," she muttered to him as she moves Zack with her hand.

She sees how the dark haired male froze from her words. It seems he truly believed her words.

Mira glanced at her gratefully as soon as Yui fell silent.

As she should. This place is for studying, not for dating for a reason.

The next few days continued with her daily visits to the library. At some point, she found Daniel's daily 'schedule', which blatantly broadcasted his two bodies.

(Y/N) almost choked in her own spit as she reads the contents.

"How is no one figuring out his secret yet?" she asks, staring disbelievingly at the paper. Sadly, it wasn't the first time this happened.

The packed schedule of having to study for midterms, unfortunately, cut the time she can spend with Yenna. At least, it was so until she received a call for help from Eli.

It seems the boy was having troubles multitasking.

Unfortunately, (Y/N) is friends with him. She's now obligated to suffer with him.
