"2.0," Yanagisawa called, a sadistic grin taking over his features as he put his thumb up in the air and turned it upside down.
Kayano quickly sprung into action. She advanced towards the Reaper who threw his tentacles at her. Her time as a previous tentacle user enhanced her reflexes and she managed to dodge his attacks all whilst the whole class watched in awe.
The Reaper attacked the green-haired girl once again and Kayano evaded it by doing a backflip. She safely landed on the ground and jumped, knife in hand, ready to strike it against that monster. But just as she neared the creature, a sudden tentacle shot into the air and pierced her in the gut.
It all happened so quickly, yet time seemed to have slowed down for you as you watched how the life in Kayano's eyes slowly faded. Your body was completely frozen in place, your voice gone as you saw your friend's limbs fall numb.
Her body hit the ground.
You fell on your knees, a guttural cry overcoming you as your eyes not once left Kayano's lifeless face.
"I get to have both sisters die right in front of me!?" Yanagisawa's blaring laugh filled the night. "What a couple of troublemakers! Maybe I should've kept her as her sister's stand-in! Too bad I'm not interested in some holey bitch."
And just as those words left his mouth, the ground began to shake. A sudden heat reached your skin. Your eyes followed the light and found Koro-sensei glowing with rage. He was unrecognizable. But it wasn't the fiery red aura that surrounded him that made him this way. No. It was his demeanor that had changed, because Yanagisawa had killed one of his dear students, and was about to pay the price.
"There we go!" The man yelled proudly. "When you're beside yourself, your emotions get twisted and your whole body goes pitch-black! You couldn't be at full power otherwise. In other words, this is the destructive creature that's finally showing his true colours!" He smiled wickedly. "You yourself have negated the whole year you spent wearing that ridiculous yellow hypocrite's face. Most satisfactory." He shuddered in delight.
"In showing his true power, 2.0 will negate that too." A needle emerged from Yanagisawa's hand. "Now for his final attack." He injected it on the Reaper who roared furiously, producing that same powerful wind that had the dirt flying all over.
"Let's get away from here!" Nagisa, who was carrying Kayano's dead body in his arms, yelled. "Now while his attention is elsewhere. If we stay, we'll get tangled up in this for sure!"
"B-But-" You tried to say, your head turning towards Koro-sensei who was barely surviving.
"Running away is a perfectly sound battle tactic!" Karma grabbed your hand and pulled you to your feet.
He led the way, tugging you along as you ran behind him. The class followed close behind as you searched for cover. You soon reached the old campus building and were about to go inside until a blinding flash of light started flowing out of Koro-sensei and made your pace halt.
Everyone's eyes were back on your teacher. His tentacles were still black, but that white light was different. Wait, but it wasn't white it-
"It's yellow," Nagisa mumbled.
"No, it's red!" Your eyes widened.
"Green!"
"Blue!"
"White..."
All his colours, all his emotions. All his past was now being displayed for everyone to see. His life, all mixed together into pure-white energy.
With one final blow and one last prayer for his first student, he stabbed the Reaper in the heart and put an end to this nightmare.
The energy that came out of the wound was the most powerful one you had ever seen as it exploded into white light and threw Yanagisawa in the air and into the anti-sensei barrier. But just as unexpectedly as it had come, it disappeared, therefore marking the end of the battle.
