From a simple to an uncommon life

Please be advised: That most of the images that are attached this book are not mine. They are images that are as close as I can find to the images I see in my head when I describe a scene. I am only using them for now in order to assist my readers with a visual aid. It is my hope to either create or find someone to create a true visual of what I am trying to describe.

Katana – a/k/a Kat POV

All those who still remained conscious turned to look upon me. The adults in my family had a look of uncertainty and fear. Everyone else (including my siblings) seemed rather confused. These looks did not surprise me in the least. My siblings were kept in the dark for far too long. I walked back to the lounge area of my sister's temporary chambers and took a seat. The others followed. Obviously, many were left standing as there were not enough seats. The men who were of a noble nature allowed the women to take the seats and those who were able did so gracefully. I looked around the room before speaking frankly. 

Katana– a/k/a Kat (While looking upon our noble hosts): Your Wizard is our (gesturing to my siblings) is our grandfather. He is our mother's father.

Milady Eleanora Marguerite raised her hands to cover her mouth and let out a shocked gasp. The rest of her family appeared equally shocked. Milord David Arthur/Sir David Arthur stepped forward. He appeared incensed by what he had just heard.

Milord David Arthur/Sir David Arthur: What is the meaning of this?

Katana– a/k/a Kat (I held my hand up in a gesture of calm): I believe that my parents felt that their children would be safer if no one knew of our relation to our grandfather.

Allora (nodded): It is true. 

Marcus: Why would you keep it from us?

Mathew: We are your children?

Lucian: It was not a decision that we made lightly.

Allora: You must understand that even though my father raised us in magic there is no guarantee that any of his children, grandchildren or even great grandchildren should possess the gift of magic. 

The Wizard a/k/a My grandfather: Even if you do possess the gift, you will not be able to protect thy self until you fully come into and have been properly trained.

Allora: If those who covet my father's powers discovered his decedents, we would all be in grave danger. My siblings and I learned of this the hard way.

The Wizard a/k/a My grandfather: They would come for each of you and may attempt to use a variety of despicable magic in order to claim mine as their own.

Lucian: They would not hesitate to harm you, kill you, or even force you to do so to a loved one. 

 Allora (She placed a comforting hand in Lucian's as he finished his words): We discussed it and decided it would be best that no one knew that any of you had any potential of or connection to magic. 

The Wizard a/k/a My grandfather: I created an island that is protected by magic. It is a safe place for my descendants to bring a child to term.  

Brandon (The eldest of my siblings): Why did you not raise and train us there.

The Wizard a/k/a My grandfather: While you would be safe there you would also be isolated. It is important for children to socialize. 

Cherilyn – a/k/a Cherie – a/k/a My Cherie: If that is so then why have none of the girls been permitted to leave the farm? 

Katana– a/k/a Kat: Good question sister.
