Please be advised: That most of the images that are attached this book are not mine. They are images that are as close as I can find to the images I see in my head when I describe a scene. I am only using them for now in order to assist my readers with a visual aid. It is my hope to either create or find someone to create a true visual of what I am trying to describe.

While he was inside getting what he needed we played in the wagon. My youngest sister Kat and I started to notice that there was quite a bit more people than usual gathering in the town. It was almost as if they were expecting something. We became curious and even though we knew that we were not supposed to, we still climbed out of the wagon while the others were too busy to notice. We followed a small family to the area where everyone seemed to be gathering. The advantage to being a child is that people tend to let you in front of them. It was not long before we were in the very front of everyone. We saw that there was a crowd of people on the other side of the road also waiting anxiously for something. Kat and I glanced left and right then at each other and shrugged. Then we herd cheering and clapping in the distance. It seemed to be coming from our left. We looked in that direction to see a parade of people marching slowly. There where men in strange matching clothes carrying long blades, Horses with fancy saddles and a pretty carriage that matched the horse's saddles. We stayed to watch because well we're little girls and I don't know of any little girl that doesn't absolutely love horses. We watched as the horses with their riders pranced by us. Just as the last two Horses that were in front of the horse drawn carriage were approaching with two well-dressed boys. Who were obviously brothers. Tho one horse reared and threw the youngest boy off its back. The horse began stomping his feet in a panic. The men tried to calm him and keep him from trampling the boy, but the black steeds mind was wild in his overwhelming fear. I ran out in front of the horse and tried to protect the boy. I looked into the eyes of the panicking horse. Then stood and slowly walked towards him with my hand held out. I could hear the worried voices of the people around me, but never once did I take my eyes from his. I did what my sister always told me to do when I met a frightened horse. I looked into the horses' eyes, and I thought peaceful words like calm, safe, comfort, family and love. By the time I was close enough to touch him he had a peaceful feel. I heard the people cheering. The couple from the carriage called out for their son. I could only assume that that was the boy on the ground. Then I was snatched up and carried away by a pair of familiar hands. I know not why my father carried me away or why he seemed so upset by what I had done. I did however ask him as he placed me in the back of grandfather's wagon quite hurriedly, I might add.

Papa! What's the matter? Did I do something bad? I asked

No! You did nothing wrong. He spoke

Then why are you so upset? I cried

I don't have time to tell you that right now.
Your mother and I will explain it to you later. I promise he said

Then he raced to the front of the wagon. I saw that my grandfather was already there with the reins in his hand and my mother sitting beside him. My father leapt up to sit next to my mother. My grandfather flicked the reins, and we started our journey home. I could hear scattered pieces of what sounded like my parents scolding my grandfather for bringing us into town. They seem worried about something. I just could not figure out what. By the time we arrived home the conversation appeared to be over, and the adults seemed to be calmer than earlier. We one by one said our goodbyes to grandpa and went inside.
