Andi.
Andi,
Who comes over
After exhausting weeks
Who is drained
After a long retreat
But chooses to spend
The night with me
So that she
Can help me
With a project
That's important to meI have Andi
Andi comes over
In the midst of exhaustion
And long work weeks
To sit with me
And bare her soul for an hour
Each weekI have Andi
Who helped me glue
And cut
And craft
My project
Until her back hurt
And her fingers were soreI have Andi
Who wept with me
At camp
As she apologized
For things
I had long since forgivenI have Andi
Who gives me long hugs
And stays by my side
Even when I'm focused
On another conversationI have Andi
Who tries to escape being loved
But for some reason
Sometimes
Let's me have the privilege
Of loving herI have Andi
Who asked me to be her guest
For her birthday partyI have Andi
Who is a gift from the Lord
And who I am grateful
To have the opportunity
To love
And to be loved by(10/09/22
