Melanie woke up to knock on her bedroom's door. "Yeah?" she asked, her voice a little husky. Her dad opened the door, seeing that he woke her up.

"I'm sorry darling but you have a guest" Monroe told her wearing his usual black suit who complimented his dark brown eyes and hair.

"Who is it?" she asked, starting to sit up on her bed, wearing her sweatshirt and shorts, her hair messy but still as soft as usual.

"He says his name is Elijah, a friend of yours?" her father asked furrowing his eyebrows a little.

The girl was shocked for a second but hid it quickly, brushing her hand through her soft hair. "Yeah, um. He's a pretty close friend of mine". She answered starting to get up. Once she walked up to her dad they started walking down the stairs towards the door.

"He seems a little too old for you, don't you think?" her father asked walking behind her as they reached the door.

"You said the same thing about Damon" she mentioned, furrowing her eyebrows. "And I still stand by that" he started, "just be careful, alright darling?" he finished.

"Yes dad, I promise" she reassured him before saying another thing, "you know that Damon and I won't ever date, right?".

"Yes I know after this bastard Daniel, you're waiting for your one true love and you'll know it's him when you see him" Monroe said repeating his daughter's words from some time ago.

"Exactly" she smirked. "You know, you'll never find a husband if you keep it like that" he said. "First of all, I need no men, they need me." He rolled his eyes at her comment. "Second of all, I feel like I'll meet him soon, I trust my gut" she finished, and for some, odd, reason, her thoughts went to Klaus.

She went to open the door, and saw Elijah standing with a same suit as her dad, weird.

"Hey, Elijah. What are you doing here?" she questioned sighing. "I'm here to talk" he answered shortly. She ran her hand through her hair when she said, "yeah, uh, sure".

She looked at him one last time, "come in", she said, and so he did.

The two walked upstairs towards her room when Elijah closed the door behind and turned to look at her.

"I'm sorry I just woke up. I... didn't expect any guests" she said smiling a little and sitting on her bed while Elijah remained standing.

"Oh it's alright my dear, you still look beautiful as usual" he said nonchalantly. Which made her looked shocked for a brief moment but blushing slightly at the same time.

"Yeah, right" she laughed nervously and looked down for a second, "so, what brings you here?" she then asked.

"I suppose you heard about my little meeting with Elena, yesterday's evening" he said with a poker face. "I did.. And I suppose you know that I already have my memories with Katerina back" she said looking at him, waiting for a reaction.

"Oh right the lovely Elena explained that to me" he said looking out of the window.

He paused for a few seconds before asking, "do you want your memories with me back?". He wanted her to remember him, their time together, and perhaps he could save her from Klaus and let her live a simple life. Cause everything with Klaus is anything but simple.

"Yes" she answered simply getting up from her bed and walking towards him, his back was facing her so she couldn't see the small smile that appeared on his face.

He turned around to face her and put his hands out for her to take. She looked at them for a second before giving him one last glance, and taking his hands in hers.
