M: Why aren't you answering my calls?

Melanie asked Rebekah after the third call got sent to voicemail.

She was getting ready for the decade dance in her bedroom, the theme was the 20s. 'Silver Springs' by Fleetwood Mac was playing in the background.

Her dress was a dark shade of wine red, a dress Rebekah gave her from her time in the 20s. She put on her heels from the same shade and a pearl necklace that had matching earrings.

Her mother curled her hair in the ends and laid it beautifully on her daughter's shoulders.

"Thank you Ma." Melanie thanked softly.

"Klaus left something for you." Rhea said with a smirk and pulled out a small envelope, handing it to Melanie.

I hope you're coming to the dance tonight, I'll be there only because of you.

Your Nik

He wrote in his beautiful handwriting.

She blushed, reading his words as her mother rubbed her shoulders soothingly.

"There's another thing down the stairs." She smirked wider and Meanie frowned before rising from her seat and rushing to the kitchen.

When she entered the kitchen she noticed a bouquet of many different kinds of flowers, all in the shades of red, pink and white.

She smiled as she leaned down to smell the flowers, closing her eyes in the process.

She took the bouquet up to her room and dialed his phone number.

"Did you like the flowers?" He asked after he picked up the phone.

"Are you serious? I love them." She said and he smiled big even though she couldn't see.

"I'm glad. I'll pick you up at seven, yes?" He questioned as she looked at herself through the mirror, running her fingers through her hair.

"Yes, I'd like that." She said sheepishly.

1492, England

A knock on the door made Melanie's maid stop with making her tea and moving towards it to open and greet the person on the other side.

She opened the door to reveal the Lord Mikaelson, the younger one, holding one red rose in his hand.

"Oh, my lord." The maid curtsied. "Melanie is getting ready. Do you want me to tell her something from you?" She asked, looking down at the rose.

"I'd like to talk to her myself, thank you." He said back bitterly and entered the room, pushing her out of the way.

"What a gentleman you are, Niklaus." He suddenly heard Melanie's voice and turned towards where it came from to see another maid, tightening the corset around her waist.

"I've already told you, little swan. You are the only girl I'll ever show my kindness to." He said, raising his eyebrows with a smirk, and looking at her through the mirror.

"I think that's a foolish thing to say." She said as he looked over her body. She wore a lilac gown that hugged her curves perfectly with expensive jewelries, resting on her skin. Her hair in a half up, half down hair style.

"What about your mother, sister?" She questioned and turned around after the tightening of the corset process was finished.

She walked towards him, looking up to his eyes and tilting her head. "What about our future daughter?" She questioned as she took the rose from his hand.
