A Shift of Events (StoryShift! Chara x Male! Reader)

I opened my eyes to see that I was in Snowdin again. I looked around to see that I was at the Ruins' door. Which meant that Shifty's first save was when I just arrived in Snowdin. I sighed as I knew that she was watching me at the moment. I just decided to walk towards the bridge, and then, I stopped when I crossed the huge stick. 

"Come out now, I know you're here." I said out loud, and soon enough, footsteps were heard behind me, I instantly turned around to see Chara, with a neutral expression. "How did you know I was here ?" She said, which surprised me, I thought that she would know that I remember. "I know it. After all, it ain't the first time, am I right ?" I said, and then, Chara's expression changed, from neutral, to surprised, to happy. "You... You remember ? As you remember everything ?" She said, I could see that she was fighting tears. "Finally, yeah." I said, and then suddenly, she threw herself at me, resulting in a hug. I was surprised but hugged her back nonetheless. "Chara, you do know that he'll come back." I said, I didn't want to make her hope for nothing. She broke the bug and looked at me, her red eyes looking into my E/C ones.

"I know, but I don't care, you finally remember what he did." She said, it was like she finally succeeded to her own quest. "Yeah, he won't stay unpunished." I said as I clenched my fists, looking at the huge door connecting to the Ruins. "What are you planning ?" Chara asked, I could only stare at the door as I knew that he'll speedrun his way into Snowdin. "I'll kill him as soon as I see him step out." I said, I knew exactly what I needed to do, what I wanted to do. "You can't, I already tried." She said. I just laughed loudly, I mean I think it's time to let her know my soul. "When I want something to happen, it will happen." I said as I showed Chara my soul. She gasped as she saw the little half-red and half-purple heart floating at my chest.

"Perseverance and Determination ? How is that even possible ?" She said, she was clearly surprised as I saw her expression. "Don't know, don't care." I said, making my soul disappear. "Wait, what do you meant by 'when I want something to happen, it will happen.' ?" She asked, I laughed a little. "Chara you know the seven soul traits. Determination is the will to never give up. Perseverance is the will to always accomplish your objective." I explained, as I suspected, Shifty just showed up and was panting, seemed like he was indeed speedrunning.

I just rushed towards him and grabbed his throat, banding his head against the door behind him. "Welcome back, psycho." I said while I tightened my grip. "Y-You... How ... remember ..." He said, well tried to say, I was strangling him after all. I released him as he fell down on the snow, gasping for air. "I did say that we'll see each other again, don't I ?" I said, putting my foot on his back, his arms who were supporting him gave away, making him fall down a little more. "You... You aren't supposed to, you aren't supposed to remember ! You aren't supposed to kill me !" He yelled as he tried to go back up, but his tries were killed the moment I put my foot on his back, pushing him down. 

"As I said to Boogie before, I don't care. I don't care if I'm not supposed to kill you, or remember, or even be here in the first place. I'll just kill you." I said, as I progressively increased the force of my foot on his back. I heard his cries of pain, and let me tell you, it was beautiful. Once I had enough. I lifted my foot off, just to brutally strike the back of his head with it, killing him on the spot. 

And then, my vision turned black for one minute.

There I was, again at the Ruins' door. I snickered as I knew that it worked. My snickering turned into giggling, and it turned into loud laughing. I walked a little bit ahead and stopped once again at the stick. "What happened ?!" Chara yelled, showing herself. I just laughed some more as her expression was describing the word surprise. "It worked, it worked !" I yelled, her expression didn't change one bit. "Tell me, what worked ?" Chara asked.
