A Shift of Events (StoryShift! Chara x Male! Reader)

I woke up feeling like I dreamt about something important, I tried to remember as I got up freely, I looked down to see that my blanket wasn't on me. Must've thrashed around. I yawned as I got out of my room. Looking down at the living room, I saw Chara and Violet chatting about something to do today. 

"Hello ladies." I said as I finished to walk down the stairs. Chara was surprised, Violet wasn't. She must've felt me. "Hello ... Y/N." Chara said, pausing a bit in her words, blushing. "What's going on ?" I asked, was she sick ? "Nothing, just a private matter between the girls." Violet said, smiling. I looked at them both with a questionable look. But I quickly dismissed it as if they wanted to talked about it with me or Adam, they would.

I made my way towards the kitchen as I grabbed a mug and filled it with milk, as I didn't feel hungry at that time. "Aren't you eating something ?" Chara asked me, I shook my head. "I'm not a hungry person in the morning." I said as I slurped my milk. "Not good, at least eat something little." She said, eyeing me strongly. She never did that before. It's strange, but at least it showed that she cared. Wait...

"Don't worry, I'll eat soon enough." I said as I finished my mug, putting it in the sink, feeling it with water. "I hope so." She said, opening the cabinet ahead of the sink near me. I noticed before, but Chara was a tall girl, not as tall as me, but tall nonetheless. "Two giants together." Violet said with a playful voice. I scoffed as Chara turned around to look at her. "I didn't choose it !" Chara said, louder than usual, her harsh movement caused something in that cabinet to fall. "Look out." I said as I caught the thing who fell, fortunately that was a box of cereals. She looked at me and was stunned for a second. Then she snapped out and blushed a bit. "Thanks." She muttered. I smiled at her and sighed. "Don't worry, be careful next time." I said, putting the box back to where it was. 

Chara was sloppier than usual that morning, does their talk have anything to do with it ? I don't know, but I hope that it wasn't a bad conversation. 

I sighed as I took a sit at the couch, near Violet. She looked at me and smiled. "The knight protecting her princess. How cute." She said with a smug expression. I sighed. "Your teasing won't work on me." I said, smiling at her futile try. "That's why your heart is beating faster that usual, and what's the red thing on your face ?" She said, I was surprised that she knew my heartbeat. I looked at her and sighed.

"Seeing her being sloppy is cute, not gonna lie." I whispered. She internally squealed as I saw her kicking her feet a little. "I love when boys are honest with their feeling." She said, I laughed a bit. "I'm always honest." I said, and then when I saw her face returning to the smug state, I knew that I fucked up. "So, tell me honestly if you like Chara." She said, I knew that I put myself in a tight spot, but as I said, I'm no liar. "I still don't know, never felt love for anyone else beside family. But I do feel a burning feeling telling to get closer to her each time I look at her." I explained while whispering. Her eyes widened for a bit before calming down. "That's certainly the beginning of love right there." She said, I looked at Chara for a bit. Then she looked at me while taking a spoonful of cereals, she waved at me with her free hand and I felt my heart skip a beat.

"I... I think so." I said, looking at my hands for a hot minute. "Aren't you cute. A former assassin falling in love with a innocent girl." She said, getting up and walking towards Chara. She wasn't innocent, but neither am I. "That's life." I whispered to myself as I got up. "Going to wake that dude up." I thought out loud as I heard a door being opened and closed. I looked as I saw Adam scratching his ball sack. I laughed loudly as it was randomly funny to me. "Fucking hell dude, do that when you're alone !" I said, he looked at me and got stunned for a bit, then he laughed loudly as well. 

"It was itchy !" He yelled as he made his way downstairs. I laughed even more as it was completely relatable. "Yeah yeah, at least be sneaky about it." I said, he took the memo and slapped himself, or at least I saw him realizing. "I'm fucking dumb." He said, I snickered. "Meh, they didn't see that." I said, he sighed. "Fortunately enough." He said as he made his way towards the kitchen, I smiled as I followed him.

"So, what's the plan for today ?" Violet asked, Adam looked at me and seemed to tell me something with his look. I nodded as I understood. "How about going out ? Last time it didn't go well." I said, putting my hands behind my head. "You didn't get your loved chicken." Chara said, mocking me. "Chicken can beat beef's ass all day." I said, shrugging. Adam snickered and Violet smiled, as for Chara, she looked at me strongly. "I'll beat your ass if you say that again." She said, I knew she was being playful, so I walked in that direction. "Beef is taking turns being fucked by chicken. All. Days." I said, laughing to myself, that surely was graphic. "Dude please, I can't get rid of that image now." Adam said, making me laugh. Chara sighed and laughed too, as for Violet, she shivered, I think she saw the same image that Adam thought. 

"So everyone's cool with going out ?" I asked, they all nodded. "We could go at the mall, and check the shops there." Chara suggested. "That's a great idea." I said, she smiled at me as I smiled back at her. "So, we going ?" Adam said, taking his jacket and checking if he had his wallet. I checked my cargo's pockets and I didn't feel my wallet. "I'll grab my wallet and I'll be ready." I said as I rushed towards my room.

I took my wallet and looked around my room, I got my phone and my wallet, so that's all I needed. I checked my window to see if it was closed, and it was. So it was all good.

I reunited with my friends downstairs. "You checked if you had all you need ?" I said as everyone checked again. Chara nodded, and it was Adam, and lastly Violet nodded. "All right, let's go." I said, being the first going out of the house.

Maybe today I'll eat the awaited chicken.
