A Shift of Events (StoryShift! Chara x Male! Reader)

I woke up once again in the black zone. Where that voice talks to me. In other words, my mental landscape. But I didn't know how that voice talked to me. I mean, am I the chosen one and the voice was the voice of some ancient entity. Who knows. "Ancient I don't know, entity yeah." It said. "So you can read my mind now ?" I asked. "Always could, I know everything about, down to the last details." It said, I just scoffed as he clearly knew about that. "That ? The fact you don't lie that I'm here without knowing ? The fact that you hat-"  "You know about it all, so why telling them all ?" I said, cutting it in its words. "Well, I can hint about one thing or two about my existence here." It said, I could hear the smug it had in its voice. 

"So, you can ask me two questions about me. Two and only two." It said, with a more serious voice. "Okay. So, how did you ended up here, in my brain ?" I asked, I could sense him thinking. "I truly don't know, I remember the fact that I was close to dying, and then when you broke the Barrier, your magic just woke me up from my dying state, hence the first time we talked." It said, I nodded as I believed it, it had no reason to lie to me after all, it's only a ghost in my brain, I still got the control over my body. But its voice was shifting a little as it talked about my magic. Did my magic woke it up or it was just feeding on it ? 

"Did that count for your question ? It would be dumb as you already know the answer." It said. I scoffed. "Don't play that card with me, ghost." I said, I heard him laugh a bit as I said those words. "Then, what's your next question for me ?" He asked, I searched a bit to find the question to ask to have the most intel possible. I slapped mentally as that question could answer a bunch. "Who are you ?" I asked, then it laughed, it laughed and not in a funny way. Its laugh could be described as someone who was this close to be insane. "Even the previous one didn't ask that because he was afraid." It said, that kinda made me cringe a bit. Is it some form of mental sickness ? "My name is long forgotten by everyone, humans and monsters. But I could tell you this if you really want an answer. I am the embodiment of ██." It said, but the last thing it wanted to say was ... glitched ? "Could you repeat please, I literally didn't hear it." I asked politely, but it laughed in a saner way that time. "Sorry, that's a secret from another day, maybe my words will reach you." It said, I sighed. Too bad, at least I got some intel based on our little conversation. "You're not that bad, at least you hide it very well." I said, it scoffed. "Heh, why would I be bad ?" It said as I could feel myself getting awake. "Seems like it's time to say goodbye, farewell !" It said happily.

I grunted as I woke up, feeling dizzy from my dream. I didn't remembered all of it, but I remembered that its name was long forgotten by any races, it probably feeds on magic and it's the embodiment of something. I slapped my cheeks slightly as I got up. To be honest I didn't want to put my shirt on since now we're between Spring and Summer, so the weather was kind of hot. But I did it nonetheless as I knew someone would be shy while looking at me.

I made my way downstairs as I saw that the new couple was up, and not Chara. "What's up sweethearts." I said to them, they looked at me and smiled, they were cuddling on the couch. At least I think it was. Adam was laying on Violet, his head on her tummy. "Hey dude, had a good sleep ?" Adam asked me, his voice sounded relaxed, looked like he fought the sleepiness of him. "Was good, thanks. It seems that you, on the other hand, want to continue your night like that." I said, smiling to him as I walked towards the kitchen. "Can't help it, too comfy." He said, which made Violet giggle. "I'm not a pillow you know." She said, smiling. "Not 'a' pillow, but 'my' pillow." He said, smiling, Violet giggled more as she went and patted his head. 

I smiled as seeing the two of them looking like that was wholesome. I mean, if I recalled, they liked each other for some time before dating eventually. Which made me think of me and Chara. I still wanted to believe that I deserved her, that I was enough for her. But something in my soul told me that I will never be enough for her, no matter how hard I try. I looked at my mug and I grabbed it, taking the bottle of milk out of the fridge and poured half the mug of it. I looked at the unclear reflection the milk made of my face. I scoffed as I took a sip of milk. 

"Who am I to deserve a girlfriend..." I whispered to myself as I sat down. "What are you talking about ?" Violet said, I was surprised because she was ahead of me, sitting down on a chair. I looked at Adam and he smiled at me while he was laying down on the entire couch. "Nothing to worry about." I dismissively said, taking another sip of milk. "Y/N L/N don't play that card with me. I heard what you said. I saw your face." She said, sounding and looking angry at me for some reason. "And ?" I just asked, she sighed and looked at me right in my eyes.

"She don't care about your past, about what you did with your magic, with your hands. So please, Y/N. Just say it to her." Violet said, I never knew she had a thing for love stories. It kinda surprised me to see that she was supporting me. "Let me guess, Adam told you about it, right ?" I asked, then she scoffed a bit. "Come on, you do know that I catch up a lot more things than a normal human. Seeing that you have romantic feelings about Chara wasn't difficult." She said, I sighed as I took a sip of milk. 

"Maybe you're right, I should have the balls to act instead of fearing the rejection." I said, I wondered about it before, if she liked me, it could just be appreciation because I saved her. "Don't make me laugh with that." She said, leaving the table. "What do you mean ?" I asked, but she just put a finger on her smiling lips as Chara's bedroom door opened to reveal the subject of our conversation.

'Don't make me laugh with that.' Did she meant the rejection ? If that so...
