...
He better come home soon. Daniel Park owes her a punch.
-
God fucking damn it.
Of course he won.
Of course.
(Y/N) did not go to school again for the first time in a while. In fact, it was almost strange to not wake up in the morning to prepare for school.
Instead, she was up and about a little earlier just to attempt to retrace her brother's steps. She doesn't really understand why, herself, why she's doing this. Daniel Park is a no-good man, and he should be able to handle himself well enough.
Except that night, she almost lost sleep thinking of his happy her mother was, even more when she asked about (Y/N)'s and Daniel' s wellbeing. It just...doesn't sit right to lie to her just like that.
She'd...try to look for him, she supposes.
Ugh. What a terrible turn of fate.
(Y/N) leaves the apartment, already going through all possible locations that he might be. Would he be around Seoul? Most likely not, considering most people he knew from school could easily find him there. Assuming he really went to look for their mother first, then searching somewhere in that vicinity should be the best choice.
...Hold on...could it be that he...sleeping stranded somewhere?
She tries to picture it. The son that's been well-loved by his mother ever since he was born, living in the streets just because of his own insecurities.
It was almost absurd. And annoying to think about.
(Y/N) used to roam the streets not by choice, but because of circumstance. To think there's a possibility that Daniel willingly choose the hard path? It was so...irritating. In fact, she had this urge to bash something just as she considers it.
But it's not unlikely, is the problem.
The (h/c) haired girl travelled light, already used to moving from place to place due to prior experience. It was already hard trying to find someone in such a massive country, why would she make things harder by packing too many things with her?
It took several days of fruitless searching.
She asked all over, even at the nearest motels or computer shops if they've seen anyone even remotely similar to the description of Daniel that she gave them. The entire situation almost felt like a trip down memory lane, albeit not a very nice one. She had to sleep in the most random of places then.
She promises to herself she'd give it her best when she gets to finally punch Daniel's face. He should be able to take it, whether he likes it or not.
At some point, (Y/N) stopped, standing in front of a church and glaring at it accussingly. She wondered why she was even trying this hard when she could've just returned to the apartment and got back to school.
Later that day, she received a message from an unknown number.
-'Even you ran away, huh?'
-'Unbelievable.'
-'You're really going to let her suffer like this?'
-'I thought you're a bit better than that'
She stops as she reads each text, eyebrows furrowing by the time she's done.
'tf are you' -
-'Oh, so you answered'
-'This is Crystal'
-'But really, I can't believe you're calling yourself Zoe' s friend when you're letting this happen'
She feels a sense of dread as she reads that message. How did Crystal even get her number, though? And something happened while she wasn't around? She tries to ask what it was and how Zoe was involved in it, but it seems like the other girl wasn't going to answer her anymore.
She grits her teeth and looks ahead.
Just where the fuck is Daniel Park at?
