I was sitting in Luz's house playing Chess with Willow when Luz ran down the stairs yelling. "Guys!!! Guys guys guys guys guys!!!!!!!!!" She screamed as she sat on the couch, eventually, Hunter, Gus, and Amity joined us all in the living room.

"What's going on luz?" Willow asked. Luz had a huge grin on her face as she kept everyone in suspense. "My mom said that she would be willing to drive all of us to the beach!" > cheered but everyone else stayed silent. "Uhm Luz why would we want to go to the beach... the water is hot," Amity stated like it was a well-known fact.

I made eye contact with Hunter and gave him a 'what are you guys talking about?' Look he just looked like he knew what I was trying to say.

"Don't you guys see? In the human realm, the water doesn't boil!" She smiled wildly and everyone looked at her in disbelief.

After a little while of talking everyone got hyped up, I looked outside and saw the sun was setting "Hey guys I better go home, it was nice hanging out with you Willow" I smiled at get and she did finger guns back.

"Ok cya y/n! I'll send you the info for beach day tomorrow!" I stopped walking as Luz said this. "Wait I'm going with you guys?" I asked longingly.

Luz looked at me like it was the most obvious thing, "Of course you are! You're our friend!" Luz said as everyone smiled at me. I tried to hold a tear of joy from leaving my eyes, "Oh thank you! It uhm... it means a lot..." I smiled.

I continued walking to the door when I felt arms wrap around my waist. I felt Hunter's head on my shoulder and he whispered in a pouty tone "You were gonna leave without saying goodbye to me?" I chuckled and turned around.

I hugged him back and ruffled his hair up a bit. He pulled away from the hug and I smiled, I kissed him on the cheek then walked out the door.

(Btw I looked it up because idk geography and Connecticut has a big body of water separating it from New York idk if that's the sea or not but for this, we are just gonna assume it is. Idk man I don't know geography.)

The next day Luz texted me around 7 in the morning that they were leaving for the beach. I got ready in a swimsuit, but I layered some shorts and a tee shirt over it. AI grabbed a towel and a phone. On my way to Luz's house, I called my mom...

"Hey, mom! I'm going with Luz and Co. To the beach today! I might spend the night but I'm not sure yet. Anyways call me back!" I ended the voicemail and sighed.

Ever since Dad left she has had to work almost what feels like 24/7 at the hospital. I hated being alone in the house for days on end, that's why I was dreading summer so much.

Well, that was until I met Hunter and reconnected with Luz.

I grabbed my towel, a change of clothes, and a toothbrush. I shoved all my stuff in a bag and walked to Luz's house.

I knocked on the door and Gus answered it, "Oh uhm hi! N/y- I am er- Y/n!" He seemed very nervous. "Oh hey, guys!" He opened the door for me and everyone was running around grabbing stuff they were going to need for the beach.

I saw Vee just standing there and I went over to talk to her. "Why are they packing so much stuff?" I asked as we both watched what could be compared to the beginning of Home Alone.

"It's their first time so they don't know what they're doing..." she chuckled. "Are you coming with us?" I asked her and she shook her head "I would love to but Masha asked to hang out today." I saw a slight blush on her face and I smiled, "Hey you got this, you're a catch! If Masha doesn't like you then they are missing out!" I smiled and smiled back.
