(44) Don't Be Rude

Let's not act like a lunatic here.

"Good evening, Sunday," Big Joe, our trusty bouncer, greets me when I finally arrived at the bar.

"Evening, Big J," I greet him back before finally heading inside the bar.

When I got there, I realize that all the lights are actually turned off. I thought the others still hasn't arrived, but as I got closer to the stage, the lights suddenly turn on and confetti starts flying everywhere. The employees were also on stage, and there was a sign in front that said, "Happy Sunday!"

"Happy birthday, Sunday!" The employees shout as the confetti continues to fall down my face. Everyone was there: Madam Scarlet, Gin, Jack, Flo, Willow, and the other Stage, Floor, and Table Employees. I wasn't expecting a surprise from them, so I couldn't remove the ridiculously big smile that was on my face as I stare back at them.

"Guys! What's going on?!" I ask as Jack and the others approach me to give me a hug.

"We're a day late, but happy birthday, Sunday. Everyone in the bar pitched in to buy this for you as a present," Gin then explains as Jack hands me a small box.

I take the box from his hand as everyone starts encouraging me to open it. So I did open it, and when I tell you that I was left speechless, I was left fucking speechless. These guys just literally gifted me the latest phone!

"We noticed that your old phone is already cracked, so we thought this is the best present we can give you," Flo explains.

"You guys are too much. I'm actually hesitant to accept such an extravagant gift, but thank you. I'm gonna put this to good use and brag about it to my friends," I say, making them laugh.

"Happy birthday, Dom," Madam Scarlet then says as she reaches out to give me a tight hug as well. "You've only been here for a couple of months, but you're like a family to us now. And whether you like it or not, you're the baby of this family, so whatever happens, we're here for you."

"Thank you, Scarlet," I say as I lean over to give Madam Scarlet a kiss on her cheek before turning to the others who were looking back at me with genuine smiles on their faces. I guess I didn't think much about it in the past, but it seems like I found another home with them too. "Thank you, everyone. I really, really appreciate it," I then tell them, and they immediately start surrounding me for a group hug.

But while I was enjoying the moment with everyone, someone suddenly entered the bar, immediately making all of us turn to see who it was.

"Oh, were we surprising the new kid today? I totally forgot," a familiar voice says.

Jack and the others move away from me, and there I finally saw the same man I encountered yesterday at Aries's house. So I was right, he was Iñigo after all.

"Iñigo you bastard. You're late," Jack scolds.

"And are you fucking drunk again? I can smell your breath from a mile away," Gin then says, and Iñigo just laughs it off while scratching the back of his head.

"Give me some slack, I just got back from Japan the other day so I've been having a little fun here and there," Iñigo answers. "Now where's the new kid? You've all been praising him since I got here so I've been really curious to meet him,"

"He's here," Madam Scarlet then says, and Iñigo finally turns to look at me.

At first he seemed confused, but then a smirk appears on his face, a smirk that almost made all the hair on my skin stand. He definitely remembers me from yesterday. He definitely remembers.

Is he gonna say anything? Is he gonna ask about Aries? What is he gonna do?

"So you're the famous Mister Sunday that everyone's been talking about," Iñigo says as he walks closer to me. "Looks like they were right, you are a handsome one. Michael got a jackpot from you," he then says. And the fact that he even calls Madam Scarlet by her real name only shows how close they really are.
