you told yourself to endure it, to push through and not budge.

you went out of his way for his comfort way too often already.

you have moved out of the way way too often already in general.

but what were you to do against the fact that your own mother told your brother about your problems?

you realised that you could endure this but not prevent it.

not entirely.

from now on you'd resort to telling Yumi about how you feel, maybe you'd even tell her about the pact you made with Oikawa, since she seems trustworthy.

and despite telling yourself that you wouldn't budge, that you wouldn't move out of the way and not give him the satisfaction of making you cry, you couldn't surprass all the tears that were lingerin behind your eyes and clouding your mind.

a tear escaped your eye but before it could roll down your face, you swiped it away with your hand.

the same hand that way holding your phone and you catched a glimpse of the stickers on your phone.

Yumi and you.

this might not be a good idea but..

"you know at least someone wanted to talk to me and i had friends for a while even if they were fake, king."

you knew how mad this would drive him, that he hated this name and you didn't intend it, but the word left your lips with spite and disgust.

Tobio stood up apruptly and slammed his chopsticks on the table, making everything on it vibrate.

your father had folded his newspaper messily in a hurry and when Tobio opened his mouth he quickly and firmly told him to not dare to say a word.

and your brother stayed by that command as he just left the kitchen without a word before the entrance door got slammed shut a moment later.

Tobio was always already earlier at school grounds than needed and with leaving even earlier he'd have to wait almost an hour until school started.

plus by the way you knew your brother, in his rage he'd be speedwalking meaning he would arrive even earlier.

your father sighed without commenting to the situation, neither did your mother therefore you decided to just leave it be like that as well.

'an eye for an eye' you thought.

and despite inflicting Tobio the same damage you got inflicted, you couldn't shake off this crushing feeling that sewed your throat shut further and further.

you finished breakfast in silence and told your parents a quick goodbye before leaving to meet Yumi at her house.

on the short way to her you had shed another tear.

she was smiling when she saw you approach and you returned it, not as big as her though.

"have you been crying?" she asked concerned but you denied.

you didn't count two single tears as crying but your mood definetly was as down as if you were.

Yumi and you decided to just listen to your musik like yesterday, sharing an earbud.

she asked you a few more times if you were really okay and each time you told her you were which was true.

you were feeling okay, with her around you were even feeling ood, but you were a bit afraid of having to leave her behind for the lessons since you weren't in the same class.

you were scared of being alone, be without her, and the way your thoughts and feelings would mess with you.

you had expected to enter school like every other day, by going straight for your classroom though you of course wanted to accompany Yumi to hers.

but things had changed since some members of Oikawas fan-club saw you sitting at the teams table with him at lunch.

yesterday they already were suddenly interested in you and the kind of relationship you had with the schools volleyball team captain.

but the message seemed to have spread to every single member of the Oikawa fan-club since after school yesterday.

suddenly a ton of girls, you were not familiar with and only recognized them as undergrades of yours, were greeting you and asking you how you were doing.

you answered shortly and before a real conversation could happen they were already gone between all the other students.

at least ten to fifteen different girls greeted you and or asked you how you were doing as if they knew you.

"wow (y/n), why didn't you tell me you're this popular? now i got to fear they will take you away from me.." Yumi said giggling and you did too.

"i will explain this to you soon, i promise. how about lunch break? do you want to eat together?" you asked and she excitedly nodded.

"Oikawa is coming!'' a lower classmen, member of Oikawas fan-club, said while running through the hall seemingly warning the girls.

and they responded by straightening their uniform, bettering their posture or chaning their pose and quickly styling their hair with their hands.

not all girls in the, rather filled, hallway did though.

you and Yumi included.

"who is Oikawa?" she quietly asked you, linking her arm with yours.

"someone with a very slappable face, you will see." you responded.

not long after Oikawa actually appeared in the hallway, on the opposite end of where you and Yumi were which meant that he had already been in the school.

he had Iwaizumi behind him who seemingly didn't really want to be there but he followed his friend anyways.

Oikawa scanned the hallway, looking for someone with a frown before his eyes landed on you and his face relaxed.

"oh uh" you quietly cursed and you feld Yumis chest beside you shake in an attempt to not laugh.

she nodded and you knew that by that she agreed with you that Oikawa's face, in fact, looked very slappable.

he came dashing towards the two of you, Iwaizumi followed slowly behind him.

you shot Iwaizumi a questioning gaze but he returned your gaze with an apologetic one.

as Oikawa came to a halt in front of you, you expected him to say something but he didn't.

instead he put his hands on his hip just like your mother often did, waiting for you to explain yourself.

there was silence between the four of you and you shot Iwaizumi another helpless gaze but he returned the same as before.

"..what?" you asked, still unaware of how Oikawa was behaving.
