"you are all probably wondering why the tables are arranged in this way and what's in the bags I brought" Miss Nawachi says as Yumi sits down next you.

you smile at her proudly as you notice some students nod to the teachers words.

you don't know their names.

Yumi smiles back at you for a moment before turning her direction to the front of the class.

"Well, " Miss Nawachi continues "by now you all have probably seen the posters for the upcoming event at the end of this month" she says and let's her green eyes sway across the students.

"have you read the posters?" she asks and one boy raises his hand.

she calls his name and he answers.

"there will be a halloween plus carnival event with booths to play games at, each club will represent themselves. every student gets a card with empty fields for every club and once a student has played all games they can put their card in a tombola to win a prize." he say's.

"good job. yes, that's true" Miss Nawachi say's with a smile.

Kindaichi has told you a little about it.

"the project we will take on is different from the ones before. since every club will prepare a game and small prizes to win, I thought we could crochet small halloween themed plushies" she explains most students nod in understanding.

"I know I know" she continues "this seems like a big skill to learn in such a short time, but I promise you that the crochet patterns are easy and that being able to crochet will benefit you all in some point" Miss Nawachi smiles brightly.

"you will build pairs with the person sitting next to you and come to me to get a crochet instruction and yarn."

you and Yumi look at each other at the same time and smile.

"you can talk with each other freely, but please watch the volume" she say's as some students already stand up to collect what they need at the teacher's desk from her.

"if you have questions or need help, please raise your hand or ask me directly. I'd be very happy if more of you came more frequently for the next three weeks so we can make as many crochet plushies as possible." she finishes.

it doesn't take long until everyone got an instruction, yarn, and crochet needles.

Yumi and you got a pumpking to crochet which seems really easy.

you both are so concentrated on learning to do this pumpkin, that you don't exchange a word until Yumi is done with hers.

"what? how did you do that?" you ask her confused.

it's only been like 15 minutes and she's already done with her first pumpkin and it looks exactly what it's supposed to loon like.

"it's not that hard" she laughs.

"let me show you.." she say's and just as she starts to help you, Miss Nawachi takes Yumi's finished pumpkin off the her desk and looks at it.

"Wow Yumi, great job!" she say's proudly and you both loon up to her, only now noticing her.

Miss Nawachi turns around to the class with Yumi's pumpkin in hand and cals for the class to listen.

"Look everyone, if you got the pumpkin too this is an perfect example of what it should look like!" she says and waves her hand with the pumpkin around for everyone to see.

you give a quick glance at Yumi.

her ears turned a bright shade of red and she looks like she wants to vanish off the face of the earth.

you try your hardest not to laugh at how embarrassed she is that she is being used as a good example.

Miss Nawachi turns around again and puts the pumpkin back to where she took it from.

"really good job Yumi" she says again with a smile before she returns to walking around the class to look how everyone is doing.

you stare a moment at Yumi, at the way she presses herself into the seat and looks so pale and red all at the same time.

you snort.

"shut up." she says immediately and you laugh.

she sticks her tongue out at you before saying "do you want me to help you now or not!?"

you pinch your lips together but can't hide your smile completely.

you want to say something but you know you won't be able to do so without breaking out into laughter.

you nod and she understands, returns to helping you.

after you got how to do the first pumpkin, every one afterwards seems like a childs play.

Yumi and you talk as you crochet away, making one pumpkin after the other.

you talk about family with her, you tell her more about your siblings and how terribly you miss your grandpa.

and she tells you more about her family, about her cousin that she plays baseball with, about her aunt that she used to spend a lot of time at.

you ask her why her family drifted apart and she just tells you that she isn't quiet sure why, that everyone must've just grown apart, getting caught up in their own lives too much.

you tell her how sorry you are for that and she tells you she's sorry for you as well.

it feels good.

it feels good that she tell's you that she's sorry for you because it mean's she understands at least somewhat.

you didn't really care if you overreacted with the pact you made with Oikawa just to wipe one out at your brother but having her say she's sorry for you makes you feel like you don't.

it makes you feel validated, it makes you feel right and superior to your brother which is something you crave so desperately that you were willing to initiate a pact with your brothers biggest rival.

when you take a quick look around to see what other students are doing, and to allow your hands a quick break, you notice small piles of what looks like zombie heads, bats, ghosts, vampire teeth, hearts, witch hats and lucky charms.
