~ chapter 16 ~

"Why are you smiling like that? It's creepy" Belly said getting in the car and seeing Bre's weird smile.

"I'm just happy to see you happy" Bre said still smiling.

"Thank you" Belly giggled.

"It's an older sister instinct sorry" Bre nervously admitted.

"And it's a younger sister's instinct to be annoying," Belly said.

"Let's go before we are late," Bre said.

The girls drove there listening to Taylor Swift and singing along.

As they arrived at the country club they did their usual of walking in separately. Mainly because all summer they hadn't been on the best of terms.

"Hey, Gigi" Bre said walking into the dressing room. Everyone was getting ready, and they looked amazing.

"Hi Bre, I saved a spot for you and Belly," She said waving at her.

Bre sat down and began curling her hair, she was listening to Nicole and Belly having a heart-to-heart hoping she could apologise to Belly as well but knew that maybe wouldn't happen.

"Can you do that up for me?" Belly said looking over at Bre.

"Yeah I'm just gonna finish curling mine then I'll do it" Bre said smiling.

"When can we go back to normal?" Belly asked sounding desperate but like she meant it.

"How do you mean?" Bre asked confused.

"I want my big sister back. I know I was wrong and honestly, I was angry. I had a school crush but soon realised it was aimed at the wrong brother. I love you, you're my family" Belly said getting teary-eyed.

"Belly, you know I love you. It did hurt what you said, I'm not gonna deny that. But I can't stay mad at you for long. I haven't been for a few weeks actually" Bre said laughing.

"Thank God. I missed telling you everything" Belly said finally meaning what she said.

Bre continued to curl her hair before finishing Belly's hair and braiding her own. They both looked beautiful. And the only thought in Bre's head was this might be the only time Sussanah saw them both in white dresses.

"I'm glad we did this sort of together" Bre leaning on Belly's shoulder as the joined the cue to go out on stage.

"Me too," Belly said smiling.

"Remember to smile relaxing your face, because if you don't you'll look like your farting" Bre said laughing.

"I do not," Belly said defensively.

"You do a little bit" The two girls erupted into laughter.

"Aw Jere looks so cute and grown up" Bre said pointing across the stage to where all the boys were cueing.

"Finn looks cute too," Belly said raising her eyebrow.

"Yeah, too bad we aren't each other's type," Bre said waving across at the two boys.

"Your typer has always been Conrad," Belly said laughing.

"It's your turn next bells" Bre said pointing forward.
