"I'll take these ones" I said as I grabbed the white and pink and tulips. "Who these for love?" the black british lady cashier asked me. "My fiancé" I say fighting a wide spread smile from growing on my face.

"Congratulations. Wishing you the best of luck. Go on and just take the flowers, no purchase necessary." she gave me a nice smile.

As I walked out of the flower shop, I see what looks like Emina walking with someone across the street. They look good together, the thought itches my brain.

I make my way to my car and that's when she calls out. "Yo Nell!"

I set the flowers in the drivers set before turning around. Emina was waving me over. "Wassup Emina, how you holding up?" I nod at her.

"I'm alright. Let me introduce you to somebody, this is"- the girl cut her off-"Her girl. My names Lia. I've heard about you."

I pressed my lips together trying not to laugh as I looked at Emina. "Oh? What you heard?"

"We don't gotta"- she cut emina off again -" I heard you hurt my baby. Left her in a fragile state." Lia said as she grabbed Emina's hand. "That's why you don't do that stud on stud shit! y'all not meant for each other!"

"TUH" I rolled my eyes and laughed. Emina looked nervous. "Yea imma go. And Emina, don't speak to me nor my wife until you've grew out of your childish ways. Lying to this broad is crazy knowing the reason I left was due to your actions. Not to mention you still got Kaiya wrapped around your finger. And for what? To keep hurting her? With all due respect; it's time to grow up and settle down. You can't play this game forever" I walk off, shaking my head.

Once I hop in my car, I immediately call Kaiya.

Kaiya: "Hey wassup?"

Nell: "Are you aware that Emina is fucking with another girl?"

Kaiya: "Huh? What are you talking about?"

Nell: "I just ran into them. She's fucking with a girl named Lia who quite literally introduced herself as Emina's girl. Kaiya you a real cool chick so I really feel the need to tell you this. Let Emina go. Once I did exactly that, things got better for me and now that she's got mixed into my life again just a little bit, shits already taking a turn."

Kaiya: "I know you're right and one of these days I will. I know she ain't good for me. But she's just so addicting. I don't know.."

Nell: "Well you know me and Kay always got you. But yea I wanted to make sure to inform you of that. Hit me later?"

Kaiya: "Yea yea for sure"

Nell: "Ight" I hung up the phone.

I walked in the house to see Kay laying on the couch with Judo. Once she saw me, she immediately sat up. "Hey baby" I said finally feeling relaxed.

"Hey.. uh can we talk..about something?"

I walk over to her, handing her the flowers. "Thank you" she smiled as she smelled them.

"What you wanna talk about?"

"I have to tell you something" she said as she turned the tv off. "Okay.. what's up?"

"Okay..I'm gonna tell you all of it but promise you won't talk or ask questions until i'm done?"

"hm..i promise."

She goes on to tell me the story about her and Emina during one of their group hangouts, about her going to emina's house, and telling her about the engagement. I don't know what I was feeling. but it just made me feel like I really don't know who I was about to marry.

"Can you please say something?" she says as she grabs my hand. "I don't have anything to say kay.." I say as I gently move her hands from mine.

"I don't want anything between us and that's why I thought you should hear it all from me. I really really love you and want to be 100% honest with you Nell."

"I love you too I do. It's just the morality of it. I'm not stressed about you telling emina about the engagement, or going over there to discuss with her, but i'm more focused on the betrayal with Liz. I just feel like, that's not something you can blame on alcohol. I've been drunk plenty but never did it make me do things like that.. drunk texts or phone calls? sure."

"I know and you're right. There's really no acceptable reasoning. After that happened it was on my mind out of shame for who knows how long. I couldn't believe what I'd did and how I had treated my friend. It's my biggest regret." she said with her head down, eyes starting to water.

"I do want you to know i'm not angry with you, Im reminding myself that past actions don't always define people. We all make decisions and mistakes." I say as I lift her legs and place them over my lap.

"thank you" she says as she wipes her face.
"Kay"
"yea" she makes eye contact with me.
"I love you"
"I know you do. I love you too."
