This chapter includes: Bodily Horror, Graphic depictions of Gore, Kinda Derealization, and Blood. You've been warned. :)
...Yeah this chapter is me mostly throwing Y/n's emotional stability like a hacky sack..
----------------------------Swiping the plated armor of a Claw back, you felt the molecules shift as you exposed their torso. Swiping your blade through, you cleanly cut a large gash. They'd bleed out if they didn't get medical attention, but you weren't going to just straight up kill them. Mercy or whatever.
You went to do the same to the next soldier when a scream built behind you. WyldFyre had fallen off of her dragon, and had gotten the wind knocked out of her. You glanced around, begining to run to the kid. Then Lloyd took notice, screaming her name, he dove down, helping the kid to her feet.
She pushed him back, lighting her fists up again. WyldFyre ran off, immediately punching a guy in the balls. "I must fight! I am danger!" Oh. Alright. Some.. trailblazer energy.
Lloyd rolled his eyes, kicking a Claw from behind. "You're welcome by the way!"
Solidifying the air beneath you, you leapt up, bringing your sword down onto a soldier, it dug between their shoulder and neck, blood spitting out of the gash.
Another attempted to attack you, which you responded with by gripping their face from under their mask, and swirling the atoms around. They screamed at your touch, begging for the pain to stop.
Pulling back in a panic, you stared at your shaking palm. You had thought about it- sure, but actually causing someone that pain seemed foreign to you. You.. gosh.. that scream. You'd never forget that scream.
While you stared in horror at the soldier falling to the floor, suffocating, a sharp piercing filled your arm. Eyes darting down, you stared at the burning blood on your arm, and a retracting orange blade. The Claw holding the sword had wide eyes behind their mask, staring at the person you had just killed.
"Evelyn!" He yelled dropping to his knees and ripping her mask away. She had a name. Evelyn. Her face was contorted into a deformed mess, her eyes popped out of their sockets, teeth ripping holes in her face. Her skin was stretched and mangled. You killed her. You did that.
The sword slipped out of your grasp, as you backed away, trembling. "I'm.." you shook, your hand rising over your mouth as you sobbed. Quietly, barely over a whisper you made eye contact with the living guard as he clutched her body. "I'm.. I'm so sorry-.."
.
The noises seemed to have muted around you. Heavy waves filled your ears. Your chest sunk, shaking with each breath.
.
You did that.
.
You killed someone.
.
You made their own organs and flesh rip them apart.
.
You were a monster, weren't you?
.
You couldn't breathe.
.
Why was it so hard to breathe—"Y/n!" Lloyd yelled, dragging you out of your own head. He swiped at a soldier, pushing them away with the butt of his sword as he sprinted over to you.
Wrapping your arms around yourself you shook, stumbling into him. "Lloyd I- I.. Lloyd I just-" you shook, staring at the ground as he grabbed your face, inspecting for any injuries. As he trailed his fingers down your arm, you winced as he started poking at the gash on your arm.
He planted a kiss on your head, pulling you into his chest. "You're okay- hey, look at me. You didn't mean to, okay? You were just defending yourself. Please, just look at me, Y/n."
You raised your eyes, only briefly connecting with his when you got blasted away by an explosion, falling onto the floor. You curled your legs, protecting your face. Vague attacking clashed behind you, as flashes filled your eyelids.
After a few moments of processing what was even happening, you rolled onto your stomach, getting off of your injured arm. Lifting your head, you saw Lloyd kneeling a few feet in front of you, watching something in the distance of the battlefield. Vision blurry, you could make out the soft, golden glow of a person. They were swinging around training plates.. or something.. gosh you definitely had a concussion.. you were seeing things..
Finally blinking as your eyes began to water, the golden figure was gone the next moment. Who- or.. what was that?
Lloyd turned around, picking you up bridal style. Your vision was spotty and fading. Were you dying? It felt too numb to be death. Death was supposed to be painful, you were supposed to die in pain, probably sacrificing yourself. You stared up at Lloyd, making sure his face was imprinted in your mind, just in case this was dying.
Waving over a dragon, he hopped on its back, settling your limp body between his legs, chest against his own. Leaning on his shoulder, you shook, clinging to the cloth of his Gi.
"WyldFyre! Let's go!" He shouted over the ringing, motioning her to follow. His voice was muted, like it was underwater. You didn't like the water.
The blurry blob of the red haired teen hissed, pausing her fight. "No! Dragons don't run from danger! We are danger!"
Groaning, you buried your head into his chest even more. "What.." your voice sounded gravily and tired. "What are you doing..?"
He trailed a finger along your scalp, gently cupping your cheek. "We're not running! We're bringing the fight to the Empresses Palace!"
WyldFyre grinned, as she began to unblur a bit. "Finally! You have a good plan!" She growled into the sky, getting the dragons aware of the plan.
Shifting his weight, Lloyd pushed his heel into the side of the dragon you were both on, and it took off, flying towards the palace.
You inhaled, smelling his earthy scent as you flickered in and out of consciousness. You could feel the visions pushing at the back of your eyes. Why were you just being dead weight?
Why couldn't you be better?
Why did you do that to someone?
