"GO READING GO!" The Ninja yelled on the screen.
Sitting in silence at the end, it only took a small snicker to make you start laughing, tears in your eyes. "What was that?!"
Sora leaned on you for support, her chest heaving with each giggle. "How do you go from saving the world to that?!"
A very unimpressed Kai rolled his eyes, turning the TV off. Standing up from the armchair, he glared at you. "We had to have some way of income. That was before we were government funded... Though that didn't end well either.."
Elbowing him, you went to exit the room. "I'm gonna grab snacks before we start training. Lloyd said he wanted you both to work on your balance and calmness. And it's way too hard to meditate on an empty stomach. "
You listened to their agreements, and snack requests, walking to the kitchen.
Turning on the faucet for some water, you frowned at the low pressure. The Merge must've messed up a bunch of the plumbing.Glancing at the new sword that sat on the kitchen table, you frowned. It could channel your powers.
Instead of using just your hands, you could use the sword to manipulate the atoms. And you had no idea what to do with it. Was it even that different from your old one? What made this one so special?Leaving the cup under the tap, you ran around the room collecting various snacks, creating a pile in your arms. From cheese puffs to animal crackers, you had basically everything in the pantry. Just had to grab your water-...
Glancing at the now overfilling cup over your snack-everest, you frowned. Placing the snacks on the table, you reached for your cup, and then went to grab the food again. Balancing it all precariously on your arms, you slowly made your way towards the courtyard.
Sliding the door open with your foot, you lifted your head, expecting everyone to be training. Of course, they were not. "HOW THE FUCK DID YOU MAKE A SLIDE IN 5 MINUTES?!" There was a large metal slide from the very top of the monastery, all the way down to- right in front of you.
And they were currently sliding down it. Shit.
Becoming a bowling pin was never your dream job, actually it was being a scientist of some kind, but here you were, getting knocked over like you were the last pin to get a spare.
Staring up at the blue sky, you groaned, face sopping wet, bags of chips laying around you. "Ughh-" Sitting up, you wiped off your face, sighing. "What is this?! This- this is not training! Who's idea was this?!"
Sora and Arin both sat up, pointing to Kai as he held his head. Why did you even ask? Of course it was Kai.
You walked over to him, throwing a chip bag at his head. "What are you even doing?"
He glanced up, wincing. "You narcs!- Gosh- you're almost as scary as my sister when you're mad.. I uhm- training, yup! It was on a meditation rug, so we were meditating as we slid down a slide!"
"I- you fuck face! I was running training today! We were going to sit still in silence and it was going to be so nice!" You groaned, frustrated.
Arin raised his brow, watching you. "You like.. always complain about training. Why is today any different?"
Pointing at him, you nodded. "Because I learned how to sleep while sitting up for a reason! And I wanted to get a good night's rest... Or good day's rest."
With a laugh, Sora nodded, agreeing with you. "So now the meditation mat is ripped up, what do we do?"
"Ripp- ripped up? Like- the meditation mat Lloyd literally just got..? Because you took his old one..?"
