Sitting on the lip of the fountain, you stared up at the stars. You used to know the North Star by heart, but since the Merge, several North Stars had appeared, each one pointing a different direction. The large moons and visible planets didn't help much either.

Arin was pacing back and forth in front of the rest of the team. Complaining about the day or something.

You were confused, why was there suddenly daylight when you looked back up?

Looking back behind you, at the source of the brightness. Your throat ran dry. A large, lean dragon stood behind you. Her scales a mix of red and gold, seemingly fluctuating between various shades of each. A crown with some sort of symbol sat upon the dragon's head.

"Who.. are you?" Sora asked hesitantly as everyone got into their stance.

I go by many names, but you would know of me as the Source Dragon of Motion.

Her voice was almost too loud in your head, causing a pressure to build behind your eyes. That squishing feeling in your jaw returned as well. Seemed everyone else was hearing, seeing and feeling everything as well.

Lloyd raised a brow in the 'Are you bullshitting me right now?' kind of way, stepping forward. "No offense.. but I've met a Source Dragon, and let's just say, you're a little short."

I suppose it is not fair to expect you to recognize me in this mortal form, but this is the ideal way to interact with you ninja.

Scrunching your nose at the word interact, you scoffed. You honestly believed this was a Source Dragon, you'd seen one before, it spoke in a similar manner. But why was it here? "What about the whole Sources Dragons don't meddle with mortal affairs?"

Look away!

This was the equivalent of a super-god (A Titan?) so of course everyone listened, shielding their eyes.

When the bright glow died down, opening your eyes, you could feel your soul shrink. You felt like an ant compared to the Source Dragon in front of you.

She was a mountain taller than the Monastery. She was half the sky. She was blocking out the rising moon. She was above all.

She began glowing once more, which caused everyone to look away as she transformed back to a normal size.

I come here in need of your aid. I fear the Source Dragons face and unseen menace.  The Matriarch of Fallen Leaves, the Patriarch of the Northern Spiral, and the Matriarch of the Mountain Dragons. All have been slaughtered by this unseen threat.

These dragons all fell under the powers of myself and and the Source Dragon of Life. I fear whoever is doing this is coming for the Source Dragons next.

WyldFyre pushed to the front, coughing. "But aren't Source Dragons like- suuuuuper powerful? What could even harm you?"

A Source Dragon was captured by mortals, you know of this. But before that, a Source Dragon's very life was extinguished.

Oh. Well shit. That was a scary thought.

You could vaguely hear the team mumbling behind you, but you were too focused on what the Source Dragon had to say.

In this post-Merge world, even the Source Dragons are not safe.

So the other Source Dragon had been killed recently? Within the last few years, at most.

Arin stepped forward, raising his hand like he was in school. "What.. what would happen if there aren't any more Source Dragons?"

We have existed far before time had a name. We are the source of all Elemental Power in this universe. We hold together the very fabric of reality.
