Unraveling the map, you slid a hand through your hair, yawning. The rest of the team filed into the garage, suited up for the mission. "Alright!" You clapped your hands together, purposely trying to not make eye-contact with Lloyd. "Me and Zane have singled out where the Dragon Cores may be."

You pointed to a distant island, south of Ninjago. "Here," you then pointed to the upper half of the island of Ninjago, "here," then pointing to a far off land mass, west of Ninjago, "and here."

Zane nodded, circling them all with a pencil as he leaned over the desk. "We have to find all of them in order to stop the Merge-quakes."

Lloyd smiled, though his grin didn't quite reach his eyes. "Okay. So that means we split into three teams. How abo-"

"Me and Y/n!" Sora smiled, wrapping an arm around you. "And Riyu, we're a team."

You shrugged. "Sure, why not." Honestly, you were nervous about being with Lloyd, and having it be really uncomfortable.. so this was good. This was good.

With a slight nod, Lloyd glanced to Arin, "Then you and I, Arin?"

The kid nodded in response, grinning wide. "Sure! But- that then leaves.."

Everyone glanced over to Kai and WyldFyre who were busy having a stare-off. They both looked over, than looked back at each other.

"WITH HIM?"

"WITH HER?"

Yeah.. that'd be.. fine..?

"DONT GET US INTO TROUBLE!" They shouted at each other. Yeah. They'd be fine.. probably.

Zane sighed, shaking his head with a small laugh. "I will remain here at the Monastery to deal with any Merge-quakes that arise, and to also work on figuring out the Portal Gates. There's a high chance that the Gates are tied to the Merge. They could be the key to finding the other Ninja.. and.."

You smiled, reaching over and squeezing his cold hand. "We'll find Pix and the others soon." Turning around, you waved to the kid. "C'mon Sora!"

A dragon swooped down, screeching in delight. Oh right. Dragon-Sora.

"Right, Sora, Dragon-Sora and Riyu, let's head out! Gosh that's gonna get confusing.. no worries though!" You assured Person-Sora as you climbed onto the back of Dragon-Sora. Riyu hopped in-between Sora's arms, as you all sat on Dragon-Sora's back. Okay, maybe a tiny bit of worry? But it was fine.

WyldFyre pumped her fist. "If they travel by dragon then so will we! We will ride on my family, Heatwave!"

Scrunching his nose, Kai frowned. "Wait, where am I gonna sit then?"

"..the obvious place? Behind me." WyldFyre sneered, shouldering him.

He shouldered her back, grimacing. "But I'm older!"

She nodded barring her teeth. "Exactly! Behind me is a good back for the afternoon naps someone your age needs."

You couldn't help but let a small snicker out, which you quickly covered up, glancing away.

Kai whined, tilting his head back. "What are you laughing at?! I'm not that old! I'm 26!.. and for the record, naps are awesome."

"They'll be.. fine.." you mumbled to Sora who was sat behind you. You laced your gloves into Dragon-Sora's teal scales. "We all good then?"

Lloyd raised his brow, nodding. "Arin and I are gonna take the Destiny's Plume. Flying by airship should be easy. Smooth sailing ahead!"

You glanced at Lloyd, though he didn't meet your eye either. If you weren't upset at each other right now, you might've hugged him, kissed him, and said to 'See you sometime'.. but that wasn't happening.
