"Hmm. No matter, here we are. Together again", she said, Y/n then looked at Lila who was on the ground with Five's boot pressing on her neck.
"Let her go, Five. You will hurt her bad", Y/n said.
"You don't know what she is... She is not just any person", Five argued loosening his pressure on her but not enough for her to stand up on her own.
"I've gotta ask... did you both miss me, you little shits?", she asked as Lila started chuckling making Y/n look at her confused.
She was almost passing out getting choked and she was crazy enough to be... mocking it?
"You've got a good nose. You know, planting her in a psych ward, taking advantage of my simpleton brother, that was smart", Five said.
"Well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree", she said making Five and Y/n's necks to quickly tilt into her direction.
"She's you-", Five was cut off.
"Daughter. Yes. And she's my only one, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't crush her windpipe", the Handler said calmly as Five finally let her go. She gasped for air as she finally stood up panting.
"I am so going to enjoy killing you both someday", she chuckled.
"Lila, darling, would you give us a minute, please?", she asked.
"Yes, the grown-ups need to talk", Five added. "You too, Y/n dear", she said as Five looked at Y/n who nodded in reassurance.
Y/n walked towards Lila who was sitting one of the old machines there.
"I'd rather lick a cheese grater", Y/n heard Five's voice making her smile a bit.
"Jazz is like a beautiful woman. Complex, emotional, hard to please. She doesn't just give it to you... she makes you work for it", the Handler said.
"I'm really hoping that you're going somewhere with this", Five said annoyed.
"Under my leadership-", Y/n was hearing the Handler but that was cut short.
"You need to stop eaves dropping. What the point of sending you away? He is going to tell you anyway. It's not like he hides things from you", Lila smirked as Y/n stared at her.
"How did you end things with Diego?", Y/n asked as Lila was caught a bit off guard but she composed it quickly.
Y/n could hear the Handler mimicking the sound of soft jazz music making her shake her head confused. Were the even getting anywhere with it?
"Why do you care?", Lila asked.
"Because Diego happens to be something important to me. And you have hurt him... bad", Y/n said.
"It's not my fault he is an idiot", Lila said.
"You know... I can see you really like him", Y/n said.
"Please... don't act like you know everything. I am not going to be anything like that. I am doing my work and if you can see all that shit... you are hallucinating. Wake up", Lila rolled her eyes.
"You are denial", Y/n said. "Please... If you think that-", Lila was cut off.
"I don't think anything... But its about time you make some decisions for yourself. Like who to love. It's your choice, Lila... Don't let others take it away from you. Diego might actually like you", Y/n said as she followed back to Five who was still talking to the Handler.
"I need some time to think about it", Five said as he grabbed Y/n's hand and started walking out.
"Fine... But remember, doomsday's right around the corner, and the way things are going... I'm your only option", she said as Five came to a halt.
"Not yet, you aren't", he scoffed softly as he looked at Y/n.
"Can we just get out of here?", he whispered as she understood he was referring to his powers.
"Fine... Let's go".
