"It's the same date, possibly later in the day... Everything looks pretty normal... It's possible they solved the Cleanse without us", Five said looking around.
"You think they did it without you?", Y/n asked as he nodded making her shake her head no.
"That's highly unlikely", Y/n whispered as they standing outside their neighbor's house. Lila was long gone to see her kids and Diego.
And the couple had been in an uncomfortable silence ever since they left the apocalypse.
"Y/n... We... we have been standing outside the door for the past twenty minutes", Five said breaking Y/n off her thinking spell.
"It has been... almost a year since we saw last them, Five", Y/n said. "Y/n-", Five started but he was cut off.
"No, I am just... I am so so nervous to see them... Aren't you?", Y/n asked. "No... Not really. If anything, I am more than excited to see them", he said.
"I don't understand how you are so normal... How are you doing this? H-how... just tell me please", she asked as he slowly grabbed onto her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Hey... tell me this... What exactly is scaring you so much?", he asked.
"What if they hate us for leaving them for so long? What if they don't love us anymore? What if... they don't trust us anymore?... What if things never go back to how they were before?", she asked as he shook his head.
