Luther and Sloane looked at each other with a smile as Luther had now cut the daring silence.
"Well, on that... super happy note, we've, um...", Luther mumbled as Sloane and him stood holding onto each other. "Okay", Sloane chuckled.
"We've, uh, got a little announcement to make", Luther said as the family stared at them in silence. "We're engaged!!!", they exclaimed happily smiling in unison earning a typical Hargreeves reaction.
"Kill me", Ben rolled his eyes taking a gulp of his drink while Five took a deep sigh. "Idiots", he mumbled. "Hey! Don't be mean", Y/n mumbled. "Now?", Allison asked in complete disbelief.
"Yeah... Look, we realize the timing is... less than ideal. But, obviously, it's now or never. Am I right, Five?", Luther asked enthusiastically pointing towards him.
"Don't drag me into this, please", Five said, his voice dripping with exhaustion. "You are all a bunch of idiots... you know that?", Y/n mumbled as Diego furrowed his eyebrows.
"You are saying that to them... or to us?", he asked. "Enjoy the speech", Five mumbled making Y/n give him a brief glare as she looked back at them.
"To all of you obviously. Like... seriously... They are in love with each other and they just found out the world ends any time now. They want to get married... How is that any problem?... You know if anything, that is the most normal reaction ever. That's the problem with all of us. If someone can find happiness let them be. Just get over yourselves... All of you. Luther is right.
