Push On Through

- Ruby's P.O.V - 

We've been in the van now for 35 minutes, the tour bus is parked 45 minutes away from our house, so we don't have long to go. I have been sat next to Josh, with Tyler on the other side of him. Josh has been pointing out the window at things the whole ride; the boy is a child sometimes. He's been trying to get us to play games too, like I spy, but it's 8am now and who wants to use their brain at this time of the morning? Not me that's for sure. 

"Look, there's another field of cows" Josh points out the window again. Tyler rolls his eyes at him, I'm all for cows, they're cute, but not at this time of the morning. He carries on like this for the rest of the ride there, I just stare out the window and try to drown him out.

We pull up to a parking lot that has 3 massive buses parked up, I am taking a wild guess we're here. The driver of the van parks up and we all get out, the boys help the driver to take our stuff out the boot. We make our way over to the buses where we see some people standing round talking. Nerves start filling my stomach again as I realise those are the other bands. 

"You'll be okay, I know they'll like you Ruby, you can do this" Josh softly says as he walks past me to greet the guys. Tyler puts his hand on my shoulder and smiles at me, trying to enforce Josh's point. I look up to see Josh running toward Brendon and Pete, giving them a hug and the other boys join in too. Josh does this hand shake thing with them all. Tyler walks on ahead of me too, greeting the boys. I can hear them talking as I make my way over to them, taking in a deep breath 

"Hey, this must be Ruby, Tyler told us you were coming, it's nice to meet you" Patrick pulls me in for a hug, I hug him back. How is this my life? I am hugging THE Patrick Stump, my oh my. 

"Oh Ruby, these are the boys, you have Brendon, Dallon and Spencer of Panic! At The Disco, then you've just met Patrick" Tyler introduces me to all the boys, going round and pointing them out as they each wave at me after their name. "Then you have Pete, Joe and Andy of Fall Out Boy" They wave at their names. I wave back, trying not to let on how anxious I am.

"It's lovely to meet all of you, I'm Ruby, Tyler's sister, although he has probably already mentioned that" I laugh, fuck of course they know, Patrick already said they knew. I see them all smiling at me and I smile back. 

"Well, let's get our things onto our bus and get you all settled" Tyler turns toward me and starts heading toward the bus which I am guessing is our one. It's black on the outside, and bloody massive. 

"I call top bunk" Josh starts running again, Tyler and I exchange looks and just roll our eyes at him. 

"Josh there's only 3 of us, I think we can all have a top bunk if we wanted to" Tyler tries to shout after Josh, but he is already on the bus and can't hear a word we say. Me and Tyler continue to walk to the bus, and drag our things up the stairs and into what I am guessing is the kitchen. It has benches to sit and eat at near a small kitchen area, then through that is the bunking area with 6 beds that seem like they're double bed size which is awesome, then there's 2 bathrooms opposite each other with toilets and showers in, then through there is a living area with a massive sofa, a couple smaller sofas, a massive TV and games system. This place is awesome. From the outside you couldn't tell that there's so much in here. 

Josh has already claimed a bunk on top, and Tyler is trying to decide which one he wants. I'm gonna stick with bottom, I know how clumsy I am and I will likely fall out of bed on a top bunk. I choose one at the bottom, close to the bathroom side. 

"Can I claim a bathroom? Just so I know one of you 2 wont pee on the seat" I ask, they both turn to each other.

"I think that's a valid question, I think that would be okay" Tyler says, so I walk over to the bathroom close to my bunk and start putting some things in it to claim it. I pull my toiletries bag out and put it on the side along with some other bits. Good, this bathroom has a lock on it. Last thing I want is Josh walking in on me naked, or Tyler for that matter. That would be super embarrassing. 

I chuck my suitcase on my bunk and decide to head out to the sofas and sit down on my laptop. I am typing away, making a new post for my blog. Josh decided he wanted the bunk above mine and Tyler chose the one opposite him. I can hear them talking across the bunks with each other about the shows, there's one tonight not far from here in our home town. I am nervous, my first show as their photographer. But I am excited at the same time, if that's even possible. I pull up some of the photos I took of Matthew the other day, just to look at them, see what I could improve on, and I need to send them over to him. I pull my phone out of my pocket to message him.

To Matthew: Hey man, just going through the photos I took of you the other day, I'm gonna email them over to you now, I have picked out the best ones for you.

I proceed to type up an email to him, attaching the photos I think he looks best in, as well as some other ones he may wish to use. I send him the email, just as my phone buzzes, thinking it's Matthew I open it, but it's not him. 

From Pete in The Boys: Hey all, I have added you all to this group chat so it's easiest to communicate about group matters and meet ups. 

From Brendon in The Boys: That's the first good idea you've had in a while buddy lol 

From Pete in The Boys: Hey don't be mean to me Urie I can make your life hell ;) 

Cool, a group chat with them all in, that wont be awkward at all. My phone buzzes again and I expect it to be the group chat but it's Matthew.

From Matthew: Hey, just got that email, thanks girl, I will of course tag you in the posts I use them in. How are you holding up? Any gossip?

To Matthew: No gossip, we got to our bus and I have picked a bunk, I also met all the other boys which was cool, Patrick hugged me which I nearly died at! And now they have put me into one big group chat with them all in to make things 'easier' or some shit

From Matthew: 1. You got to hug the one and only Patrick Stump? Jealous 2. Hey now you have all their numbers, that's sick! Just let me know if you need me okay, I will be here for you at all time okay :)

I put my phone away, I know Matthew is there for me but I kinda wish I didn't tell him about how I feel, now he will keep checking on me and I don't want to worry him. My brain hasn't been too bad today, I have been to focused on meeting the boys and doing a good job tonight. Tyler and Josh are still talking across the bunks, I can't really hear what about though. I'm trying not to listen. I stand up off the spot I was in, walking over to my bunk to try and find my headphones. 

"Ruby you all good?" Tyler asks, stopping his conversation with Josh. I rummage through my bag, finding what I'm looking for. I stop and look up at them both

"Yeah, all good, just trying to write a blog post" I smile at them both before shoving my headphones on, turning them on with the button on the side. I pull my phone out of my pocket and hit shuffle. I need to drown them out, not just Josh and Tyler but the voices before they start trying to talk to me again. The boys went back to talking and I look down at my phone to see the group chat has exploded with messages. Mainly between Pete and Brendon, I open it up just to clear the notifications. I go back to typing away on my laptop, I'm writing the draft to me telling the blog about who I am. I will announce it on Instagram once the boys start posting and tagging me in the pictures I take of them. I just hope people will be nice.
