Push On Through

*Another TW, OMG how dare I ;)* 

- Tyler's P.O.V -

Ruby went off with Josh and Brendon to grab us all a Starbucks before our show. The rest of us are chilling in our hotel rooms. I found my way into Patrick and Pete's room, I need to ask Patrick about Ruby. I know I shouldn't ask him, I should just trust my sister to tell me things, but I am really worried. And after seeing her new cuts I am even more worried than before; they're bad. I am sat on the chair in the corner of their room on my phone, Pete is in the bathroom fixing his hair and Patrick is on his phone on the bed. I put my phone down and take in a deep breath.

"Can I ask you something Patrick?" Patrick looks over to me, locking his phone and putting it down on the bed next to him. 

"Sure, what's up Tyler?" He asks. He sits up with his legs crossed.  

"Why wont Ruby talk to me?" I see the look on Patrick's face, he looks puzzled. 

"What do you mean? What's happened to her?" 

"She told me and Josh about some things earlier and showed us her cuts Patrick, I want to know what she told you" I explain to him. 

"What did she tell you, cus I don't think that I even know the full story" Patrick looks less puzzled now, so he must know more than I think. Right?

"She told us, well me as Josh knew things already, she told me about her self harm and eating disorder relapse. But I know there's something else, she even said there was" 

"Yeah she said that to me too, I'm worried it's serious and that's why she hasn't told us"

"Patrick, she said she doesn't want to talk to me about it yet, she would rather talk to you first" I look down into my lap, fiddling with my phone. 

"Oh, really?" Patrick looks puzzled again "She wants to confide in me? Did she give you a hint to what it was?" I shake my head "Oh right, well I am here whenever she wants to talk, she already knows that, she has my number is she needs me, but I can always try and get her to open up more if you like Ty?" He asks, I nod in his direction. Pete comes out from the bathroom, he had the door open so he heard everything we just said. 

"She will talk when she's ready, you can't force her to talk to you" Pete turns to me before walking over to the bed Patrick is sat on and lays next to him. 

"I know Pete, I'm just super worried" I say to him. 

"I know buddy, she will tell you, but if she is more comfortable telling Patrick or even Josh things before you please don't take it personally. Sometimes it's easier to talk to those that aren't the closest to you" Pete says reassuringly, he isn't wrong, it took me a long time to open up to Josh when I wasn't well. 

"You have a point Pete, I'm sorry, I can't lose her" I nearly lost her last time and I cannot go through that again. 

"You won't lose her, if we felt she was a true danger to herself we would intervene" Patrick shoots me a comforting look. I smile a bit at him and he does the same. I go back to doom scrolling on my phone, waiting for Josh and Ruby to get back so we can get ready for the show.

The show just finished, it was incredible tonight! As always! I love this band man. The clique means so much to me too. I run off the stage, greeted by Ruby with a towel. I shoot her a smile as I take the towel from her and wipe the sweat off my head and neck. I hear the bodyguards trying to get me and Josh to walk with them back to our dressing room so we can shower. I follow their orders and walk back with Josh. 

"That was so good" Josh turns to me as we walk. 

"Yeah I know, I am exhausted though, I might take a nap for a bit in the dressing room whilst the others perform" I say to him just as we reach the door. I open the dressing  room door and walk in, Ruby sits on the sofa on her laptop. She looks to be going through the pictures, same thing she does every show when we finish. 

"Sup Rubes" Josh says as he walks through the door after me. She looks up from the laptop and smiles.

"Hey Josh, great show" 

"Indeed" He walks over to her and hugs her. She tries to shove him off jokingly. 

"Ew you a sweaty boy" 

"That's why I wanted to hug you now" He laughs and she pulls a disgusted face. 

"Go shower ya nasty" She points him in the direction of the bathroom. Josh walks off into the bathroom and shuts the door, and soon after we hear the water running. I sit down on the other sofa and turn to Ruby. 

"Ruby are you all good kiddo?" I ask her, she looks up from her laptop and looks in my direction. 

"Yes Tyler, do I give off the impression that I am not?" She asks in a very sarcastic tone. 

"I was only checking" I stand up and head to the bathroom to shower too. I glance back just before I enter the bathroom and Ruby is already back to looking at her laptop screen again.

-Ruby's P.O.V -

The boys are in the showers after the show, which was amazing as per usual; I got so many good photos. I'm looking through all the ones I took tonight, I think the boys will be really happy with the ones I took. I'm picking out some I really like to post to their Instagram. The fans have been loving all the ones I have posted so far and want more of them. I think I found a handful of them to post. I hop on over to the open Instagram tab on my laptop and add the photos on, writing up a caption, tagging the boys not only in each photo but in the caption, you know if people weren't sure it was them or something stupid. I type my silly caption and hit upload on the post. I decide to check on the post over on my last post which I uploaded earlier on in the day. It was a picture of me at sound check with the boys. I can see some really lovely comments as usual, some saying how lucky I am and stuff but then there are some mean comments. I should be used to them by this point, I would never dream of responding, but I do read them.  

I hear one of the showers turn off and then some banging along with some cussing coming from one of the bathrooms. Not even a minute later I see Josh emerge, towel round his waist, another round his shoulders. He uses it to dry his messy wet hair a bit. I can't help but take a quick glance down. The way the towel sits makes his V pop out a bit. I earn a quick smirk from him. I dart my eyes back to my laptop screen. Josh walks over to his bag and grabs his clothes; he must have forgot to bring them with him when he went in the shower. He enters the bathroom again and shuts the door behind him. I go back to reading through the comments when Tyler comes out his bathroom, fully dressed and clean. He goes over to his bag and slides his clothes back in before going back into the bathroom. I can see him looking at his hair in the mirror. 

"Me and Josh were saying about us going somewhere fun tomorrow, we have a free afternoon and it would be nice to hang out" Tyler is still fiddling with his hair. 

"Yeah sounds good, is it just us or are we inviting the others? I'm sure if it's fun Pete and Brendon will wanna join" I chuckle, Tyler comes out with a smile on his face. 

"You're not wrong, yeah we will ask them, they may even have ideas as to what we can do" Tyler comes over to the sofas and sits on the one opposite to me. 

"I can slide into the chat and ask if you like" I say to him, Tyler whips his phone out his pocket. 

"Yeah sounds good, I will have a look for some places in the next town so we can shoot ideas round when they all finish their sets" 

To the GC: Hey lads, Tyler and Josh said about doing something fun tomorrow once we arrive in the next town, anyone down? 

I hit send and put my phone down, not expecting replies for a while as the others are still performing. Josh comes out of the bathroom clothed this time, I almost let out a sigh. Almost.
