Chapter 21

She had heard about William Wesley. “Why did my aunt have to shake hands with him?”

Sarah had no option. She decided that she would figure out something to not get married but she had to let go of Ryan. She couldn't even think of someone hurting him.

“They will come tomorrow to see you. Mark my words, Silly girl… if you think of anything brave, you and your boyfriend will be finished.

“Aunt… I'll meet them tomorrow. I'll do what you want to do. But please lend me a day. I want to bid him goodbye. I want to at least stay a day with him. Then I'll be back… back to you.”

3 years later

Day 1095

Dear diary,

It had been 3 years since I let go of my happiness. I was not able to write a diary often because many things were going on but how could I not remember this date? So I shook all my other stuff away and here I am.

You know these three years seemed like thirty years to me. The person with whom I was about to marry was a nice guy. His name is John. John is now a very good friend of mine. True friendships come in unexpected ways right?? So in the middle of all the chaos my life caused John came as a perfect friend.

John was a gay, that's why his father was in a hurry to marry him off. When we first met, he told me everything and I even told him that I already met someone. I could see the purity in his eyes. He didn't find his soulmate yet but he wanted to find his true love. But his father knew about his sexuality and forced him. But he gathered all the courage for me, and threatened his dad that he'll not take over his company. And John was the only son so he agreed.

Now John has taken over his company and I work in a cafe.

But yesterday I got a job offer from a big company. The company is near John's company too. It's a job of personal assistant, maybe of the CEO.

I have cut ties with my aunt so I am free to go anywhere. So I hope tomorrow goes all right.

And I hope wherever Ryan is, he is happy. I hope he smiles everyday. I hope he must have forgotten about me and is with a person who will love him as he deserves

“What contract is this, miss?”

“Mam this contract states that you must live with Mr. Johnson as he might need you in any emergency. And you should work for at least a year. If you violate the contract you must give 10 million to the company.”

“Can't I just try working here for a week and then sign the contract. What if I am not able to work here.”

“We will train you mam, but this is the rule you must sign this contract.”

Sarah already left her work from the cafe so she had no other option.

“Okay…”

She grabbed the pen to sign the contract.

Why is it feeling so uneasy?? Why is my heart beating crazily??

“Ms. Avery??”

“Yeah… sorry… I was thinking of something.”

Finally she signed the papers.

“Ms. Avery, you can start your work from today. First you should meet Sir and then Ms. Clara will instruct you.”

“Okay.”

She was in front of her boss's cabin. Heartbeat so loud that she can hear it. She was about to open the door but the door suddenly opened from the other side causing her to lose her balance.

She was pulled by the sudden action of the door and was about to fall to the ground but her wrist was grabbed. The documents fell on the ground and she was held by her waist by someone.

She felt the presence of someone's touch on her waist and opened her eyes. It took her a second to regain her vision and her brown eyes were met with blue orbs… those ocean blue orbs in which she used to get lost.

Her eyes widened at the sight. She was still in his arms. The arms she craved for…

The childish man in front of her had a different aura as if he had been reborn again. His messy hair was turned to waxed hair exposing his forehead. A blank poker face…. She again got lost in his eyes trying to get the emotion in it.

She expected it to be filled with hatred… that's what she expected for all these years… but there was no hint of hatred in his eyes for her. All that she could see was an emotion of hurt, longing, emptiness, as if he didn't get any warmth for all these years.

She was happy because she knew wherever Ryan is, he must be happy and safe but there was no hint of happiness in his eyes.

Her thoughts were interrupted when he pushed her gently to make her stand from his embrace. She could already feel the absence of his warmth that she craved for.

A wave of realisation hit her when she remembered the purpose of her being there. She tilted her head to see the board in the desk as the tall guy was standing in between Sarah and the table and it was written -

Ryan Johnson
(Ceo)

In big golden alphabets. Her eyes widened at the sight, her face clearly showing surprise. Still she is unknown by the fact that she is brought here for a purpose and destiny has planned something else for them.

“Hii, Ms. Sarah Avery and welcome to Johnson Enterprises.”

He said with a poker face in a deep husky voice.

And Sarah's eyes widened sending chill down her spine as she saw him wearing the same tie she gifted before their breakup. Before adding the full stop to their love story unknown by the fact that it was just a comma.

Long chapter guys. I tried to explain the three year gap and also I tried to add some creativity to it.

I think I have improved in writing though… self appreciation guys !!!!

Anyways, I wrote a lot this month. Usually I write three to four each month but I guess I wrote more this month as I was pretty much free.

Also I started enjoying writing. At first I just started randomly, then I even thought of giving up or taking a long break. I took a long gap of some months though. T_T

I even forgot what I wrote and then planned this. The stuff I wrote earlier was mostly last minute ideas but this chapter is the main turning point of the story that I pictured even before writing this story, I think I brought justice to my imagination. Also they are adults now so I can try to write some uhmm…hummm..(iykyk)

Now I'll just shut up and Get lost guys. I am blabbering too much here. T_T
