Chapter 22

The heart that seemed to stop beating skipped a beat by the warmth wrapped around his wrist.

Ryan glanced over Sarah's hands which didn't go unnoticed by her.

"What do you want, Ryan?"

"You." He said staring deep into the girl's soul.

And Sarah gasped hearing the unexpected response.

He cleared his throat.

"I mean I want a professional PA and you are perfect for the role. And why are you panicking this much?"

He bent a little to match the girl's height to which she gulped.

"Now you can't even bear to work with me? Am I that much unbearable?" he said with a sarcastic tone.

Sarah gulped.

"It.... Its-"

When her phone rang.

She glanced to look at the person who was calling. The name was John.

Ryan's ocean blue eyes were covered in a light red colour by looking at the screen to which he clenched his fist and turned away.

Sarah quickly rejected the call.

"I see you have moved on."

Sarah was disappointed that Ryan thought of her like that when she clearly mentioned in the letter which she left before leaving that she will love him forever.

But she didn't feel like explaining herself.

And turned her heels to leave the cabin.

"Take the driver with you and move in to my house before I return to my home if you wish to work here or pay the money before tomorrow."

Sarah had no option in front of her. She sighed in defeat and left.

Sarah glanced one more time the entire building and was about to book a taxi when she saw a familiar car in front of her.

"John."

"You didn't pick up my call so I waited here."

He said getting out of the car.

Sarah smiled sadly.

"What happened? You know you can share anything with me right?"

"I know. Nothing. It's just that I am a bit tired."

"Aww. You are doing well, Sarah." He said gently patting the girl's head to which she chuckled.

"How did the interview go?"

"Great. I'll start working tomorrow."

"Ohh. So... are you waiting for a taxi?"

"Yeah."

"Come. I'll drop you."

Sarah just nodded and sat in the passenger seat, unaware of the fact that Ryan was watching all this from his cabin's balcony.

7:00 pm

Ryan was back to his building after his work when he saw Sarah sitting in the nearby park fiddling with her fingers.

"Why are you here? Clara must have given you the keys."

She nodded.

"I asked something."

Sarah gestured to Ryan to sit beside her on the bench she was sitting on. Ryan unknowingly just cleared his throat and sat.

"I am sorry Ryan." She said, still glaring at the sky.

Ryan looked at her with a puzzled look.

"For what?"

"For everything. I thought we would never meet again. But whenever I thought of you the only thing that came to my mind was to apologise to you."

"You think one apology can fix everything."

"It can't. But I know you are upset with me and probably you hate me. But I can't explain my actions and it would mean nothing too."

"Wow! Can you hear yourself Sarah? Really?? We were having a damn good relationship, everything was going alright. You took me on an awesome day out and we were so in love with each other and you decided to disappear. And now you are giving me your fucking apology without an explanation?"

She sighed and looked at Ryan. Lost at the ocean's eyes.

"We were not... just meant to be, Ryan."

"Who are you to decide that? Huhh??"

She didn't answer anything but still glanced at the sky.

"Sa... Sarah."

She hummed.

"I don't hate you. But I will never forgive you either. I will not let you get rid of your guilt by forgiving you. And I will make it damn hard for you."

He stood up and left leaving the brown eyed girl behind.

Boring chapter Guys. But it will be interesting soon I guess. Now my busy days start. Maybe I'll take a long break.

Monsoon is here guys... and it's the best season to write stories and it's been 8 months since I am writing this story. Still not finished. But I will not take it for one year, I hope.

So I didn't show much romance of them because they were just college students but now as they are adults, I'll try to think romantic ^_^

Literally I posted 10 chapters this month! I can't believe guys... I think there will be 10 more and I'll complete my first book.
