"who the hell possessed your brother?" i exclaimed, showing ruby a photo of aqua smiling. it was a screen capture from a scene from love now, a reality dating show that aqua was in.

another important character, that i know of, is also on the show. kurokawa akane, aqua's future work (?) girlfriend.

ruby stared at the photo before laughing miserable. "i don't know, loli-senpai and i was also shocked when we saw his fake-ass smile last night"

my dear non-existent viewers, you might be thinking, what happened to my initial reluctance with being friends with ruby. i just want to say that i have been in this school for a month and i always, always, get pulled in by ruby and minami.

"loli...-senpai?" i tilted my head, acting as if i do not recognize anyone with that name. of course i know who it is, i just want them to bicker a little bit.

the aforementioned loli-senpai was sitting beside ruby, already seething with annoyance.

"for the last time, would you stop calling me that!" kana exclaimed, pointing at ruby who just laughed at her. she then turned to me and said.

"hey newbie, don't call me that. my name is kana--"

i cut her off with a kind smile, looking at her behind my bangs. "arima kana from sweet today? i really liked your acting, i hope you'll do more acting gigs in the future because i really love watching you"

she seems to be taken aback by the sudden compliment. her cheeks slowly turning to the shade of her hair as she looked away. "hmph, i..it's nothing, i am a pro after all"

i just smiled at her. 'what a tsundere haha' i thought to myself. if it wasn't quite obvious yet, kana is my favorite characters, along with melt. the self projection is evident with the characters that i like.

i just continued to eat my lunch when ruby perked up and called someone. "onii-chan! there you are"

i turned around and saw aqua coming to our table with his signature stoic expression. "hello aqua-san" i greeted, smiling kindly when i received a nod from him.

being in the same class as him, i manage to talk to him, even for a few minutes. well, i did nost of the talking while he just respond with short sentences or nods and all we talk about is always school related.

'are we even friends or not?' i thought to myself, my eyes twitching slightly.

"what are you even doing here, you scum?" kana said with her sharp tongue.

"scum?" aqua muttered quietly before speaking again.

"to eat lunch, of course" he said, sitting beside me. there are a lot of space on the table but he decided to sit next to me? my cheeks reddened a bit before internally shaking my head.

'keep your mind together, aishi, he probably just sat next to you because you're closer to him!' thank you, rational aishi.

"onii-chan, have you decided which girl are you going to date in lovenow?" ruby exclaimed, making kana coughed violently. i offered her my bottle of water which she immediately accepted.

aqua was indifferent as always and shrugged. "i don't plan to date anyone." his words seemed to calm kana completely.

"eh?! i only approave you to chose yuki sumi and no one else" ruby proclaimed, puffing her cheeks.

i quietly laughed because of their antics but immediately stopped when  i met aqua's eyes. i looked away and just stared at the table.

'palibhasa kasi alam na alam mo kung paano ako kunin eh. isang ngiti, isang kanta, isang yakap, isang sorry, wala, umiikot na ulit yung mundo ko, aqua, matalino akong tao eh, pero pag sa'yo natatanga ako....fuck, wrong language, stop quoting an old movie aishi!'
