Hello Enigma

It was early in the morning at the Esposito Household. Maritza had woken up with a small headache.

Maritza: "Good grief, these visions I have, they're horrible. And they're getting worse by the day. I'm starting to see how Nicky felt when he keeps getting those nightmares."

As Maritza got out of bed, she felt the pain in her head swirl around causing her to grit her teeth in frustration. She knew that some aspirin and acetaminophen would neutralize the pain and wear it out throughout the day, so she went to the bathroom to get some. While she was heading there, Miguel Esposito was on the phone with Jay Roth.

Miguel: "So I believe the Forest Protector may regroup in the east side of the Forest. But if we could track Dale and Gordon, surely they'll lead us to the rest of the group and we will see what we can learn."

Jay: "But do we know that those folks are the ones responsible for this? I mean this has been happening while they were in jail."

Miguel: "And when they were released sixteen people went missing! Seriously, there has to be a connection between the this."

Jay: "You have a point right there. And the fact that some of them are EarthPro folk speaks volumes. I'm curious if the next kidnappings will start with them?"

Miguel: "Well, from what I can tell, the culprit has been kidnappings tons of Raven Brook folk for two years, I guess the person's trying a new change of pace. And from what's going on, the criminal has been giving one too many free passes by the police and mayor."

Jay: "It's really nuts that it has come to this, because the drama has escalated on too many times."

Miguel: "The Mayor and officers have been going off on some of the people for their decisions to take action into their own hands. Almost as if they're trying to cover things up and keep them from learning anything. And the veteran lawmakers aren't any help since they're turning a blind eye to the whole thing and think curfews can't help. But we know that these things happen in broad daylight too!"

Jay: "Yeah, but what I really want to know is where exactly are the people being kept and what is becoming of them? I mean, eventually someone's gotta stumble across one of the missing people. Let alone discover at least one of their remains."

Miguel: "Now that right there is what puzzles me the most. And I still find it hard to believe that there is one person ganging up on all of them. But still to this day, no one knows where those folks are being kept or whether or not there is even a location."

Theory after theory came from the two, discussing more and more on the matter, making Maritza more curious and deep in thought too. Unfortunately, Maritza still had that minor headache and thinking about that made her brain clasp onto more pain. So, the girl had to go to that bathroom and get the medication to calm down the pain. After she did her task, Maritza noticed her dad was still talking to Jay about the subject, so she decided to eavesdrop a bit more on the conversation since she wanted to get some answers too.

Jay: "So what's this I hear about the Golden Apple Amusement Park vandalism?"

Miguel: "Ah yes, thanks for bringing that up. You see that piece of land has had a notorious history for getting vandalized and trespassed. Mr. Peterson has had to deal with several setbacks because of this and right now, there have been several sightings of masked men going around tampering with the damaged machines. Not only that, but an old pal of mine Ike Gershowitz, was once found deceased in a vat of peppermint at the Golden Apple Factory, though it was the Forest Protectors responsible for that. Don't even know or wouldn't be surprised if Dale Tapps or Gordon Cleave had any involvement in this."
